I just happened to notice because of your avatar graphic that it looks like Parkhurst used the same Keon photo as the one in his team issue postcard that I just posted in the Hockey card thread.

Hi and thanks. Yes, you are correct that my avatar is Keon’s 1961 RC. I see your original photo and that is a very nice pick up!
I know nothing about Pokémon cards except my daughter has collected them for years. I’ve tried to understand them and I just don’t get it. But her favorite is Eevee and I remember a few years ago she freaked out at a show because a guy had a box of Japanese Pokémon but she didn’t have enough money for it. I decided for Christmas to get her first PSA card. Found this Japanese Eevee PSA 10 that’s a pop 2 (that I understand). Hopefully she appreciates it.
I am pretty happy with this purchase. I have owned the card before but this one is by far the nicest one I have ever had. Much like most of my card collection, it is not going to threaten the top of the population report. Still, it has a certain clarity, image sharpness and color boldness that make me quite happy with the overall look of it. In my humble opinion, this is a pretty nice example of an iconic card. Scans came out great, too, if I do say so myself.

These arrived in the last week or so. The Stand-Up Aaron and the 1959 Topps Baseball Thrills Aaron are both upgrades. The rest are new additions to sets.

These babies came home today. Had some of them a while but they’re freshly slabbed and looking sharp. I will get pictures up later. Four more unseen Mickey’s in the box (even by me). My house is nuts today that’s why they’re in the back seat of the car...

picked this up, gonna send to PSA tomorrow. doesn't get my nicer than this one, even my old pack pulled PSA 10 didn't look this well centered.
Ugh, this is heartbreaking. That centering is so hard to find but I don't think it has a chance to 10 with all of the PD on the front. Still, would be a dynamite 9 to own. Just makes me want cry finding centering like that and seeing the PDs.

I agree but I figured its worth a shot, maybe the corners and centering is enough for some of the print issues to be overlooked. there is ZERO edge chipping, which is unbelievable for this set.

It's not the second-toughest 10 in the decade because they overlook stuff. I don't fault you for sending it in, like I said, I think it's going to be an outstanding 9, but there's a lot of PD there in multiple places. Looks like one of the corners has the tiniest bit of a nick. I still weep for that centering. So, so tough to find on that card and without any tilt.
I have always been fascinated by the newspaper business. I finally found an authentic, original 1939 New York Daily News paper from the day after the Joe Louis vs Tony Galento fight. These original newspapers can be very difficult to track down. Tony Galento's nickname was "Two Ton" because his size was absolutely huge. Despite Tony's size, Joe managed to put him down for the count in the fourth round. A book has been written about that fight. The book is entitled"Two Ton". Here is the newspaper, and the book.
I finally found a Joe Louis fight films coupon. It is the original coupon you mail in to get a copy of his 8mm fight films reel. I've been looking for this for a while.
I'm a big New England Patriots fan and collect a lot of their cards, especially the rookies. Here is a nice 1/1 Damien Harris rookie I just picked up. Its got a crazy display of memorabilia. Cant wait to get it in hand.
I dropped this into the Card of the Day thread also, but I'm so stoked about it that I figured I would double up here also.
This just arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more happy to have it! It is a 1962 Golden Arrow Dairy milk cap, and is only the second one that I know to still exist. I got it in a recent trade with a big football collector.
I have a special affinity for Frank Buncom and his family, and this rare 1962 Golden Arrow Dairy milk cap completes my Buncom master set. I detailed my connection with the Buncom family in an old post on my blog:
I didn't take any pictures because there was nothing eye popping to show but this month I have purchased larger lots of cards for my 1956 and 1973 Topps baseball set which has put me well over 50% for both. I am a set builder at heart and getting these lots is what keeps the hobby so interesting to me.

This fine specimen isn’t in the best shape but has two unique features. It shows when the card was purchased and also how much the new owner weighed at the time of purchase!
Picked this up. I think it's a great looking card. I like the fact that you can actually make out his signature. I liked him a lot in college and even more when my cowboys drafted him.
Frames showed up today so first one of these beauties graded a 4 is headed to the UK as a Christmas gift! This one will be adorning the wall in my office shortly!
