If that's "discriminatory " then so is Costco and similar business only buying clubs. They even charge a membership fee. The fact that it is a government run retail operation shouldn't change anything. Is an age requirement for Medicare discriminatory? Is an income requirement for food stamps? A free membership requirement to buy Mint products is far less discriminatory.
The bigger issue is this is a non solution. Anyone who wanted in on this need only have created an account the week before and bought a $10 item ($5 shipping). Then, if they didn't win the lottery they just return the$10 item
Seeing these people who used scripts and bots, bragging about the 15 coins they bought, or the dozen confirmed orders even though they only get 1 shipped, while I got screwed by the mint and an eBay seller, is enough to make your blood boil.
I have never been a member of PCGS' collector's club, only enjoyed reading the coin forum and opining now and again. Last night that all changed thanks to this coin. I received it yesterday and signed up for the silver level and filled out my submission paperwork. It will be in the mail in the morning. I'm going to test the luck of the Irish and look forward to the results. I paid a little extra for the two week turnaround (could not wait 30 days under economy plus I could value it at a higher rate than $300 max that economy is limited to) . I'm diving into the deep part of the pool feeling a little apprehensive about it but I figure I'm way ahead of my initial $70 investment so why not go for it and see if I can get a Pf70. Geronimo!

I wish I did but I'm not that fast hehe. I don't imagine being able to get one anymore. I did try that Monday to Saturday but being a pst 4:30 am is a bit ruff haha.

I tried those same mornings except the time. 2:30 am. Got close one time and left it in my bag. The next day I started in that bag refreshing every 10 seconds till 2:36 but it never changed to available. I tried one more time then called it quits.

Getting up at 2:30 in the morning does seem brutal for a coin that doesn’t get released.
It only got released on Friday, Saturday, and Monday after initial release. Don’t know when the next one will be.

If i owned a company i would have told all my employees that they were working at the Baltimore show that day and for use of their CC they would get a $100 bonus. There are plenty of ways to get around the HHL and none of them are illegal. The HHL is a rule not a law.

YES IT DOES. Don't spread lies.
Companies buy them on the open market at open market prices. Anyone on this board could have 100 of these in the next hour if you want to spend the money.
I had 25 of them. I'm not a company. I paid people $500 to $600 each for them before release. One of the big companies hired 200 actors to stand in line in Baltimore to get them, it cost him $350+ each to get them. Other big companies have been paying $800 to $1000 to acquire them on the open market. I personally sold 2 to a large company for $1000 each on Friday.

Contrary to urban legend, big dealers get the shaft from the Mint. If you spend $1 million+ per year and are a bulk buyer, they give you a lousy 5% off. And bulk buyers only get to buy in bulk AFTER THE HHL comes off. For this coin, it never came off.

I guess the meaning didn't come across correctly. I was implying that the US government sees companies as a person. And if that person has a lot of many then rules and/or laws AR blurred and not really adhered to as the to the language it tries to portray. 1 per household is meant for one per household. But since a company has employees it can ask "wink" for them to buy "insert item" without limit but employee that doesn't comply well many many other employees can be replaced.

I don't want anything I'm saying that the "1 per household" rule doesn't work and they should just remove it. Why have a rule if it doesn't even work as intended. Just remove it any anyone who complains about 1 per household doesn't have an argument. Bus full of people hired haha sounds like bussing in voters lol.

Because without the rule, the 1st person in could have bought the entire 30,000 coins. Well, 100 at a time cuz that's all they allow. But I would have been buying 100 lot orders till the money ran out.

It's better than nothing. Otherwise, one person could just put 5,000 coins in their cart and you would all be complaining a lot more. There's really no way to make it fair to everyone; someone is always going to feel shafted.

With the same logic of a company can hired 30k people and buy the lot. Or online 30k people. Either one with the same logic would do the same.
I said it the other day...and I'll say it again...it's not the 1 HH limit that was most infuriating...it was the ability to "steal" items from another person's cart and the multiple credit card and check out freezes that sent me over the top.
Just fixing those couple of "glitches" and system shortfalls would have helped greatly! Once an item is in your cart...you should be given anywhere from 15-30 minutes to checkout in a sane fashion!

That's a false equivalence. Hiring 30k people costs significantly more time and money.

Such a lie or they don't even know they got botted. Which is scarier.

I don't see him having 46 graded PR70s. That is the total PCGS count which is currently at 138.
I looked at the cert numbers above and below and there is a run of 16 before it changes. Of these 16 there are four 69s. They consist of Gold Shield and non-Gold Shield. True Views and most non-True Views in random order. I do not see the indication that your reference is a run of 46 PR70s.
Maybe I misunderstand your post.
