I can understand it’s difficult to keep track of one offs or pieces struck in serendipity like off centers, double and triple strikes, etc. which are like errors. For better or worse I think it comes with the territory with these. For example we don’t know the mintages of US Mint errors. The other option could be to make the one offs into regular issues posted in his website, but I’m not sure you’d prefer that either.

I think we should give Dan the benefit of the doubt. Going from 57 to 59 isn't a big difference and he has explained some reasons for minor changes like this in the past.
I do know that he has collectors best interests at heart. I missed out on the 2015 gold octagonal and mentioned to him that he could strike another Liberty Head with a later date but he said he wouldn't do that either to protect collectors of the first ones.
I seem to remember something about this. It was 57 and then something happened and it went to 59. I believe that he explained what happened at the time but I don't remember the details. If you go back thru the thread I think it is there some here.

Absolutely..... The comments that where being generated in the thread needed to take a better turn and only by addressing the factual issues could it be resolved. I am in this for the long haul and any concerns that get voiced I am sure will be addressed.
I am not worried about a current strike that he makes a couple more for customers that are putting in requests over. In fact it really makes the strike more desirable by enlarging the collector base.
I seriously doubt that any past year strikes would be restruck with out distinguishing changes.

I seem to remember the vender software allowed accepted orders beyond the mintage and he made it right, Just as the US mint did with the baseball coins I only have respect for the man and his business. and i am a frequent customer.
They should really put on the label what the metal is and what the putative denomination or at least weight are. I hope ICG can fix that with the above Clark Gruber issues. What if it was a palladium or platinum?

This could be done for one of several reasons:
The storefront software allowed simultaneous orders to pass through and put multiple claims on the last remaining stock.
An order is lost in the mail and replacements had to be produced.
On order is placed via a regular check in the mail and received shortly after an item is sold out.
An item is returned for exchange due to a perceived flaw in it, and the remaining stock is already depleted. In most cases the returned item is destroyed and a new one is made (no net change in the final mintage). In a few other cased the customer is sent a newly-made item and the returned one is sold elsewhere as a "factory second" or processed in some way to negate the flaw (such as antiquing or multiple striking).
In the case of the "1934" over-strike double eagles, a valued customer purchased two Saint-Gaudens host coins and then was delayed in sending them in for over-striking. I decided that it would be fair to them to fulfill their order.
I have plenty of ideas for new products, so there is no need for me to go back and make more of something that I made a year or more ago. When dies are no longer needed, I deface them by grinding.

I would like it but my spending money needs to be saved for a ms70 or 69 winged Liberty in .999 or an overstrike. Not to mention I look everyday for the new silver strike thats coming up..... I should have bought a Stella, theres one on ebay for $1200.....
After 2 years of looking I finally picked up the 2015. Had only seen two during those two years and got outbid both times.
I'll send it to ANACS soon, I think it'll grade 69, it's in great shape.

The 16mm silver Owl fractionals for 2018 and 2019 are both done - final mintage 54 of each.
They actually had remained available for some time (over two months), with the 2019 selling out first and then the 2018 recently, when one purchaser bought the last seven.
The "1919" Broken Sword Peace over-strikes will be available again soon, with the ordering window closing for good after the Denver Coin Expo in mid May. The "1919" production looks like it will come in somewhat lower than the "1917" and "1918".
Several new products are getting closer to release (probably this week).
Does anybody that has the 2018 KOTCT set have a pic of the piece I have circled in red? It seems to be the only one I need to complete the set. It’s funny that the largest minted piece will be the one that is hardest to find. I just want to see what it looks like if anybody can share a photo.

I doubt that Dan would overstrike a straight-graded PO-01... sometimes a condition rarity... collecting 'em is a real thing.
For example, search eBay sales for PO-01 common-date Morgans. Crazy prices, more than MS65.
