I keep seeing people saying the scratches on the Block Island coin are effecting the grade. If the scratches are in the die that should not effect the grade correct? Isn't it only post manufacturing defects that effect the grade?
The scratches are on the coins, not the dies. PM damage in a large way. Some of the other quarters were affected too, just not as many. A few got through ok.
