I am back on the fence even with the easy profit.

I sold all my platinum. My last coin at a significant loss because spot had fallen $600 an ounce since I bought the coin. Dealers won't buy these except at spot. I was fortunate to sell those 2006 1 oz plats I bought when their was still demand years ago. Those were the years when low mintages really counted, not so today. This palladium reminds me of 2006.

I also sold my PCGS PF 70 FS Reverse Proof Buffalo at a $400 loss when I bought it in 2013. I have to learn from my mistakes.

I love the design and I know if I buy one I will keep it and not flip it. That is the temptation of being a collector. So I will probably stay away because my intention would be just to flip this coin right away.

I can wait a few years and if I want one then I will buy, but the bloom will have already fallen off this coin and I may not want it.

The only thing that would help this coin is if the mint decided not to produce any in the following years.

Good luck with everyone today whether you are flipping or collecting. Just be cautious with all the hype.

I won't be following the herd today like I have done so many times in the past.

Same old story and will be the same pattern as most of these mint releases... Short term run up, stagnant, and drop below mint price. Sell immediately if you want to make a couple bucks. Buy back in a year or two for under mint issue price.

Like the gold Kennedy, reverse proof buffalo, HOF baseball, silver eagle sets...

To think how many folks are all set, sitting at a computer ready to jump on these is kind of humorous.

Wonder how these will do long term.

Of course, I'm sure that most are being bought for the immediate flip.

    Good luck to you all.

By long term you mean for about an hour hold, right? As soon as I can sell, if I get one, it’s sold.

    Don't quote me on that.

;)No flipping here .... I may have question later as far as leaving it in the box as first strike candidate or how to send it in as such (of course if I get one) ;)

Who knows, with the 1 per HH limit may take a bit longer than we think - or not. Will be interesting to see. 7 minutes.

I wonder if the Mint will ever work on the surge capacity of their site to better handle these events.

It's so frustrating to get nearly through on a purchase only to have it hand up on the confirmation or other page which isn't a problem during normal capacity times.

You can open and look at the coin and send it in separate from the box if you get it sent to PCGS within the 30 day FS window posted on their site Monday Oct 8th.
