So, my paypal account says I have a pending transaction with the mint, even though none of my mint accounts show a completed purchase. Hmm. Fingers crossed...
Did you get a confirmation email?
No. I highly doubt I get one, I'm not sure why paypal is showing a pending charge. I never got to the "confirmed" screen on the mint site. It would always crash before then.
I just got my confirmation minutes ago. I assume you got an order number so I would think with a pending charge that would mean something.
No order number either. The paypal pending charge is the only glimmer of hope.

I can’t see how they could ping PayPal unless they processed something, that is crazy! Sending good vibes your way.
Well, I called the mint, and they said that was just a pending charge that they do when an order starts to process, but since I never got an order number, it did not go through. Crap.

eBay sales show pre-sale PCGS PR70 First Strike sold for $3.995.
Other recent sales...$1,950, $1,975, $2,150. Just posting for the record.
(I'd prefer a 64+ $5 Indian!)
Recent sales of raw at that level?
Of course, as we've seen so many times on Ebay if, by the time the seller has the coin the prices have dropped the buyers bail. If the prices have risen the seller still delivers.
The best photos will be the first person to get them and share it with the rest of us so we can salivate, feel badly for ourselves and wish we had more.

Is this for real? I didn't know they're available at the USMint store. Please note the receipt from Colorado mint, time stamped @ 129pm. Just an FYI.

It's just incredible that any of these were at the Mint store.
They've never sold limited release items before that I've seen. This is the case for both the one in D.C. and when they had one at Union Station. It's really incredible. I thought that this was their official policy.
As to the ebay prices they really don't mean much now. Once in hand if the prices drop the buyers will just bail. If prices climb (hard to imagine) many sellers -other than the well established ones like MCM, APMEX, etc. - will just cancel the sale.

Didn't they have the 2011 ASE sets? I believe I read someone picked theres up there back then.

No 2011 sets that I know of.
I'll call tomorrow to c if they had any of these in DC
Well..... my order USM060160XX has SHIPPED ! Got my order in at about 11:58 just to get an early reference order number for comparison purposes. When my order gets to me hopefully my 2nd order of the day, USM060205XX ( at around 12:02:15) will soon be shipping also. That second order ,with the Palladium Proof Eagle will be eagerly anticipated. The first order of 2 Rolls of NA Dollars was just sort of a marker - for comparison purposes.

I crashed too but check your orders, it might be there.
Several larger dealers have multiple palladium PCGS PR70's listed as already sold pre-sales and available, in the $2,800 to $3,995!! range. The sales on the higher side of that range, will probably get returned if sold on e-Bay.
These are not going to be like the damaged reverse silver Block quarters made in San Francisco where only a couple % were 70's. They are minted at West Point, and I expect higher quality and more "normal" PR70 % graded.
I will send mine in for grading (assuming it will be reasonable quality), and if it is a PR69, eventually I will get a PR70, but not at these prices.
There may be a stash of unopened mint packaged single coins eligible for First Strike even months from now, and the 70 price will be a lot less and I will buy one then. This is like the gold Kennedy. Sell first, buy last?
For those that did not get one, keep a close eye on the Mint site in the morning and the next several days.
I expect several credit cards may have bounced, or orders counted that may not have gone through, and the Mint might post a handful as still available.
Just checked. Email acknowledgment came in at 12:16 and email confirmation came in at 12:50 I guess the two are quite different. The first one says, " I know what you want, but you've got to pay up first!" the second one says, "Okay, it's yours!"
@Bikingnut Just received an email from the mint saying "Your order has shipped". That was quick.
This is typical since the new fulfillment company took over. Same or next day shipping.
@Elemint How is it possible so many by one dealer got graded when the Mint released them today?
It isn't. They don't have graded coins in hand yet. They are counting on having them ASAP. Some have the Mint ship direct to PCGS or NGC.
Even if the bought at a Mint gift shop and have coins in hand they still have to go through the process of shipping them to a TPG, wait for grading and return shipping and then hope the have enough 70's to cover the orders they got.

I crossed my fingers for you

For now. They'll be a feeding frenzy. Then the 70s hit. Then the slide starts. Timing is everything.
Of course, as we've seen so many times on Ebay if, by the time the seller has the coin the prices have dropped the buyers bail. If the prices have risen the seller still delivers.
One just sold for $2500 on Ebay
but not mine....dang it...
Don't quote me on that.
Gonna need a link for that... most of the raw ones are going for $1900-1950 right now.
The PL versions from last year were gorgeous.
I can only imagine what these will look like in hand.
Also the Mint has done wonders with their online ordering. Never cussed once during that 3 minutes...
Its not showing on the sold listings
This is from the mint.
Hoard the keys.

Cc got pinged. A hard ping. Not one of those sissy, weak silver proof set pings. Nope.

Odd... why would they sell it before 12et
Bought at the Denver Mint gift shop. - signed - Mr. Obvious
1:29 P.M. Mountain is AFTER noon ET.
They often have a few new releases for sale at the Mint gift stores.
My bad was thinking 1129, +/-2 switched around there ...oops
No problem. You know the Mint. That's how the 1933 double eagles got out - sold them before they were issued.
Lol yep
You guys see this? Someone is having a bad day...

Kolector is the King!
The likelihood of this producing a lot of 70s is really quite high. I will wait for things to calm down, if they do, and seek out a PCGS 70.

Inhand, surprised it's still available.

Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
Anyone know if PCGS will offer the generic FS Black label?
Likely counting on them grading PF 70.
