    Yes... Annie Oakley counter stamped all the coins with her name she tossed in the air and shot at Wild West Shows later giving them to kids. However as they are in great demand today just like anything else many counterfeits exist.

    $50 for a 4 year permit, “assault weapons” must be registered by the end of this month. What can I say it’s CA.

    Here in Mississippi, the MS Supreme Court just said a Judge could not make a rule prohibiting guns in his courthouse, which had been the norm here for the last 30 years. Judges made whatever safety rules they wanted for their courtrooms depending on the situation, and seemed like a good idea given the passion involved in some cases.

    Wowzers I heard the ivory grips are more forgiving than the rubber grips? I don't shoot any of the fantasy big bores anymore as my ex Freedom Arms .454 Casull caused nerve damage in 2 fingers on my right hand. Thankfully not permanent as taking niacin daily over the coarse of 2-3 years regained full feeling.

    I have one of those too as it was a requirement for the 3 gun course in Cowboy Action Shooting competitions... Another majorly nerdy part of my life I was heavily involved in nearly 2 decades ago I'll never share with any woman I'm dating unless at gun point ;)

    My .44 Mag Ruger Super Blackhawk revolver is a tack driver.... and I have shot the .45-70 revolver as well... that is a handful....For EDC though, two Springfield .45 XDs do the job. Cheers, RickO

    I only take it when somebody wants me to take it to the range so they can shoot it or watch me. It only took one session to figure why a box of bullets only had 12 in it, lol. You can’t shoot it 12 times!!!

    A buddy of mine took it even further by having custom ultra lightweight rifles made in calibers by H&H, Rigby, and Win Mag for one day maybe hunting in Jurassic Park? Talk about getting kicked by a mule... His wife said we'd look better coming home if we'd instead went to the gym just to drop weights on our feet.

    Unfortunately, this is the type of comment that stirs up a fun thread. A Marine boot is calling many of us ignorant and weak.     Mr. big went to the range to rent a 44 Magnum to see if I wanted to purchase a Colt Anaconda. I bought a box of ammo. It is the first time in my life that I did not enjoy the entire session. I even returned twenty bullets to give to the next fool who wanted to punish themselves. I can't image the power of the real "hand cannons."

    What was your cowboy name? Mine was "Silver Dollar Dave". Every time I went to the first stage I'd put a Morgan Dollar on the bench.

    The coin went very well with the gun.

    Agree with that. Much easier (comfortable) to shoot and more accurate than my model 29-2's. Bought mine new for $111 back in the early 70's. Still have it. Never had the "transfer bar" modification done either. The positive clicking sounds it makes when cocking it are second only to the sounds of pump shotgun.

    Always interested in sharp shooting but never able to hit a coin in mid air of course. So this Ike was secured to a board and shot with .220 Swift at 30 or 40 feet. Don't let the kids try this at home ! This coin was over dipped and ruined so nothing was lost. Coin might still be worth melt ?

    Really not hard to hit a coin in mid air if you use a 12ga with number 9 shot at ~20 to ~30 yards.

    Count me as another "gun guy" and coin collector. Though I'm just getting back into coin collecting after many decades away from it. And I'm way overdue to hit the range! Funny thing is as I've recently joined some coin forums, I think I was almost immediately banned on one forum because I mentioned I liked firearms in my profile. I hadn't really posted anything else, so can only assume that was the reason, lol.
