Are there any holes coins out there that were hit by Annie Oakley? Peace Roy
Yes... Annie Oakley counter stamped all the coins with her name she tossed in the air and shot at Wild West Shows later giving them to kids. However as they are in great demand today just like anything else many counterfeits exist.

Here in Mississippi, the MS Supreme Court just said a Judge could not make a rule prohibiting guns in his courthouse, which had been the norm here for the last 30 years. Judges made whatever safety rules they wanted for their courtrooms depending on the situation, and seemed like a good idea given the passion involved in some cases.

Do coins and guns mix? YES, and a lot better than coins and politics IMO.
Anyway, not long ago a buddy and I were on the shooting range and made a friendly little bet about who could hit a penny first at 30 feet with a Beretta 9mm. Yeah I know, probably not your choice of handgun but that's our service weapon and what we were firing with that day, so there you go. @ricko 's S&W Model 29 double action 44 Magnum probably would have been a better choice, but Dirty Harry was borrowing it that day so it was unavailable. I digress....
EXOJ, I could have loaned you this 10" Bull barrel Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum wacked to 8", 2" left over barrel meat used to mill a threaded detachable brake (easier for cleaning), shaved sight's, action (hammer/trigger) diamond/polished/honed, custom thick hand fitted lockable cylinder pin, fully bead blasted, scope mount and 2x fixed EER Leupold scope, Pachmayr grips. Recoil of a .38 Special with hot loads

Wowzers I heard the ivory grips are more forgiving than the rubber grips? I don't shoot any of the fantasy big bores anymore as my ex Freedom Arms .454 Casull caused nerve damage in 2 fingers on my right hand. Thankfully not permanent as taking niacin daily over the coarse of 2-3 years regained full feeling.

It's a wrist breaker for sure. I've shot a lot ... and a lot of different guns and there is no forgiveness on this one. It's a novelty for sure. 686 4" 357 is my favorite revolver for control, even though a Ruger Vaquero or single six really has a good feel, and makes me feel like a cowboy, lol

Unfortunately, this is the type of comment that stirs up a fun thread. A Marine boot is calling many of us ignorant and weak. Apparently, all of us posting about our enjoyment with both guns and coins has not penetrated into the space between the ears. I will say this as one informed point out of three is a huge improvement. The mastery of a vocation, pursuit, or skill gives one the feeling of control and power. All the folks I have taught have felt exactly that.

Mr. big went to the range to rent a 44 Magnum to see if I wanted to purchase a Colt Anaconda. I bought a box of ammo. It is the first time in my life that I did not enjoy the entire session. I even returned twenty bullets to give to the next fool who wanted to punish themselves. I can't image the power of the real "hand cannons."

Guns are good fun when used for sport target practice by responsible adults.
And of course they are important tools for military and police.
It's when they are used for crimes in "real life" that it gets complicated and political.
Unfortunately guns are used for both good and bad....
How true, and usually it's the bad people that are the problem.

Agree with that. Much easier (comfortable) to shoot and more accurate than my model 29-2's. Bought mine new for $111 back in the early 70's. Still have it. Never had the "transfer bar" modification done either. The positive clicking sounds it makes when cocking it are second only to the sounds of pump shotgun.
