in my opinion it looks like a cast copy.
.
Used on the front page of a well-known coin company brochure.
I won’t say whom. Just wanted a second opinion that I told the representative correctly.
.
Fake.
I agree... just comparing it to images in reference material quickly exposes it as fake. Cheers, RickO
Looks fake for sure.

Good catch!
Here is genuine example.

I like the sand paper affect.
RE: "Used on the front page of a well-known coin company brochure."
or maybe an "Unknowing coin company brochure."
Possibly.
I presumed they outsourced the brochure work and that company knows not much about counterfeit detection or numismatics. It looks like an Ali-baba-esque image where the coins are stacked in piles. There are other of the same type in the background.

It's an NGC AU-53.
Does it come with egg roll?
Fried rice.
Probably not the company that you want to rely upon for authentication.

Why not share? All here would be well served in knowing the source.

Thanks Bill, do you think it's an au53, what are your thoughts about toning, eye appeal and originality?
I like the looks of this coin, which why I bought it. It has obviously been dipped and some retoning areas. Very few Bust Dollars are original, and some that might be are sometimes dark and unattractive.
I have a 1797 and an 1802 Bust Dollar that I would consider as "original," but if I had held out for all of them that way, the buying process would have been more difficult and frustrating.
That is the well-known "vampire" 1795 counterfeit. The counterfeit can be easily detected by the 2 fang marks at lady liberty's neck:
