    Wow it appears MCM now upd their prices 20% since I posted this earlier today. They got more but raised prices.

    But there is always APMEX!

    I'd ordered a PCGS 69 a few days back when I figured I'd missed the boat on the 70s. After reading this thread, I got online and then called Apmex to cancel the 69 and order the 70.

    A legitimate gorgeous design, first year issue, first ever metal, tiny mintage, high relief, in PCGS 70?

    No chance these will be successful.

    I saw that as well. Called and changed my raw specimen order to a PCGS MS70...to the tune of a $199.01 increase in price.

    Dumb? Probably. But I figured the raw one I'd get would be one of the post-inspection-for-70-candidate dregs.

    HSN sold out his 70's were about $2199. each and the 69's were not much cheaper. Way to much money for what he was asking.

    Also to Weiss the price went up $200.00 bucks so he made out good so far!

    MCM got a new batch but now they are much more expensive from this morning. Check out the prices now up to $1600.00 bucks!!!! Holy moly glad I got mine at the cheaper rate. APMEX is probably still at the cheaper price. APMEX raised them about $37.00 bucks not to bad but that can change.

    I saw 1,249 for Credit Card Pricing (and ebay pricing) for NGC MS 70 examples from MCM.

    Bullion Exchanges had PCGS MS 70 FS on ebay earlier today for about $1,243, but they seem to be entirely gone now.

    Please post any price you may catch on any of the TV shopping shows. Just to see compared to the prices above. TPG, Grade and descriptor (FS, Early Release etc) and price. Will be good for chuckles.

    Yeah, the mcm NGC MS70 Black slab palladium First Day and Early Release labeled slabs are more expensive than yesterday at this time.

    Of note, on 10/2 I copied edit pasted "2017 1 oz High Relief Palladium Eagle $25 Coin NGC MS70 First Day of Issue Black Core Holder Exclusive U.S. Mint 225th Anniversary, $1349". Today, 10/3, I do not see a "First Day of Issue" 225th NGC black core slab for sale on MCM site, rather a "2017 1 oz High Relief Palladium Eagle $25 Coin NGC MS70 First Release Black Core Holder Exclusive U.S. Mint 225th Anniversary Label which is being sold for $1489. Since the description has changed, to say it's an increase of $140 since yesterday is difficult to claim.

    edit - I updated the MCM page and see the "First Day of Issue" is now there, listed as sold out.

    The other 225th Anny item that has not changed description, 2017 1 oz High Relief Palladium Eagle $25 Coin NGC MS70 Early Release Black Core Holder Exclusive U.S. Mint 225th Anniversary Label was $1249 on 10/2, today its $1499 on 10/3. Increase from $1249 to $1499 is 20%.

    Makes me wonder what the NGC MS70 yield is, if MCM is jacking the price, maybe the yield is lower than expected - or - there is an early demand. Also, there are so many label / slab combinations!

    APMEX still has their first strike black label PCGS around $1260.
    Personally, I much prefer the PCGS in 70.

    This. I took one look at the varieties of NGC slab for this release, and went straight to PCGS.

    For releases like this, the coin speaks for itself. Those slabs pile on buckets of unnecessary noise.

    I LOVE unusual and historic slabs as much as the next slab fan. But manufacturing overtly "collectible" slabs is antithetical to what makes collectibles collectible.

    So its just a cosmetic thing cause the regular First Strike has been selling 2 to 1 over the Black Label because I am guessing there really is no difference other than cosmetic and the claim of only 500.

    Do I detect some irrational exuberance in this market? I will be surprised if 15,000 coins sell, even considering that it's a new issue, new metal, etc. I just don't see it happening.

    I would be curious about the yield on 70s. It's a bullion coin of a hard metal. Seems to me if there are too many 70s floating around, then 70 is the new 66.

    The bad part about breaking even with HSN you would have to sell 1 each 70 Grade @ $ 2,200.00 to break even.
    Mine to break even would be @ $1180.00 to break even. Much better margin especially when comparing ANAC to PCGS.

    We still don't know how hard it is to get a 70 vs a 69. I am sure those numbers will be there once we get them in our hands.

    Only 5 graded 70's at MCM left. Glad I don't need another one. They will probably get another batch of them but their prices might rise even more.

    MCM Down to their last 2 coins at least for now. Will they get another shipment or are they all sold out after this? Their last 2 Gems might be their worst coins out of the bunch. The vault holding it off to the last hoping no one notices. ( just kidding they would not do that )

    Here is a theory, next year the mint will have to do both proof and bullion versions of this coin. Since they only got 15,000 planchets this year maybe next year they get the same amount and have to split them between the two.

    I did not get in on that black label decided to go for the FDOI First Strike Label instead last night. They got me for another one!!!!! Its a sickness I cant stop. I didn't tell mama so she is gonna be pissed when she see's the bill in a few weeks.
