Mine is a photograph of a pillow slipcover that sits in my study. A larger version -- in the form of a tapestry -- lines the inside of the door to the room.

It used to be one of my favorites. Sold it a while ago. I should replace it with something, but just have not got around to it.

A 1960-D small over large date cent. I wrote an article about it in Coin World in 1966 but it was decades before the coin was sufficiently recognized to be included in standard reference books.

I lost mine back in 2001 when the site changed. At some point we were able to upload and add one to the list. PCGS had to look at them first because some were a bit over what the young folks should be seeing.
One of the members posted this image. Forgot who that was.
I cut it up and uploaded it. I still use it on all the different forums.
Edit to add. The original was made by Cosmic.

Immediately after 9-11, all the members switched to the American flag. As the weeks and months passed, most changed to something else. I and a few others, have never changed. But for a period of time, ALL the icons were the same.

One of my favorites. I searched for about a decade to find just the right one. And finally, oh there it was on DWN's site. But wait, it was already ON HOLD within seconds of the newp postings so I thought, okay another decade to wait. But a few days/weeks later, someone here posted the image. I PMed him/her and offered 10% over what they paid and they kindly accepted. So here it is below and it has a permanent home for at least the next decade.

My primary collection is San Francisco small denomination gold. The eagle and "S" mintmark are lifted from an 1850s-era quarter eagle. I stole the background color from the Pogue catalog art because I thought it looked good when contrasted with the gold foreground color.

My avatar is the first medal we made for the National Gettysburg Coin Show in 2014. From 2001 until the new boards we are on, I had a toned buffalo nickel reverse avatar and had wanted to change it. With the new boards, I decided to finally change from the toned buffalo to our show medal.

At the time I joined the forum, I was busy buying silver OBW rolls off ebay because they could be had for a nominal premium. I ran across a guy who was selling 1958 & 1959 Chase Manhattan rolls and I noticed that many of the end coins were toned. My avatar is one of the nicer ones, and it is still in the original roll as I found it.
