This version definitely appears to be more modern and user friendly with more features/functions. Like anything new, it will take some getting used to, especially for the older folks.

It will take some getting used to definitely, but I think it's an upgrade. Just feels... different and foreign right now.

So far so good. Sure there's a few things to work out but the overall format is better. Glad the number of "Views" is now available.
There are a few things that look interesting in Markdown syntax:
* First, you can create bullet lists (can't get this to work, yet)
* Second, you can do italics this way
* Third, you do bold this way
* Finally, it's possible to do links like this

Looks good so far. It's going to take a couple days to figure out if there's anything I'm missing from the old one. Ooh, look! It automatically saved a draft while I was doing this, and when I hit back/forward on my browser, the text was still here. It didn't autosave it again when I jumped to a different page, though, although hitting "back" got me back to my current edits.

Ans - it seems once you get to the end of a long, multi-page thread it remembers that and automatically puts you back there next time

All looks acceptable so far... other than the private messages. I go to the inbox and there are messages, but they are not recent and no apparent way to sort through them. That's a bummer when I had probably 15000 private messages on the older version of the forum, hope they are not gone for good!
