As a paid in full diamond PCGS member, I would expect a refund or some free grading vouchers with this news. I applaud the news, such a great resource for numismatics.

I'd gladly keep on paying for it, so this news is a treat.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

That is great news and a brilliant move by PCGS. The coin facts tool is superior to anything in the business. I believe this will have a positive impact for the hobby and has super potential to attract people sitting on the fence. I have been packaging a number of ebay auction sales and just let my iPhone CF app read the bar code the holder so I can put down market value or auction data on the spread sheet sales journal to c how they performed (or were given away) vs market value and auction data from CF.

Thank you PCGS. Having a Daimond membership, I have always worried what to do with the eight economy submissions. Now I can submit coins that are rational for my collection.

Great news. Any pictures of the retro OGH?

The PCGS refund certainly should be based on the unused months of service we paid for Coinfacts. Anything less than that will not be satisfactory. Hope PCGS does not try to give us some kind of discount on grading submissions instead. That would be worthless for those of us having nothing to submit for grading. I only buy PCGS graded coins, and I have already crossed all my other earlier purchased coins to PCGS or sold them.

No, nothing was shown at the show, nothing in the PowerPoint presentation either I don't think.

I wish that they would bring back the solid gaskets too!

Great news! Coin facts is a very helpful tool and it'll be nice to no longer be restricted to the preview site. Also, cool that you could have some of the OGH coins re-graded and keep the green label (even if it is a newer label). I wish I could take advantage of the crossover special at Long Beach. I won't be able to attend the show, but I have several that I'd like to try to get crossed.

I wonder if PCGS' use of the "retro" green labels will be to help preserve the provenance and chain of ownership of coins resubmitted for grading in Old Green Holder Labeled slabs, in a similar way that PCGS has used the "GSA" label designation to identify coins that were submitted to them for grading in original US Govt GSA holders?

That is good news (for PCGS as much as us who do these sets). David made a big deal about the "+" coins in everyman sets in the Luncheon last summer. I have to believe that of the nearly 500 1883 No Cent nickels graded AU-58, at least a few should warrant the "+".

My coinfacts auto renews on 1/30. If I have not heard anything by then, I will cancel (and wait out the 3 days)

Great news, and I think very smart move on the part of PCGS.

Coinsfacts show auction results for PCGS and ATS coins side by side. The more people who see which brand tends to get higher auction prices realized, the better for our hosts core business.

Wouldn't the low ball set owner want to request a "-" rather than a "+" ???????
