<< <i>Any ideas here? The bottom of the R,K, and the E actually look like they might be tripled. I purchased a special attachment for my phone to take better pictures in the future. This is through a loupe which we all know is tough to get right. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks. Kris.
I believe someone posted earlier that these are occurring on the Eisenhower reverse proofs or somewhere recently. I thought it was machine doubling. No expert here. >>
I was really thinking that it was MD , but caught my eye was the tripling. I always thought and have only seen MD look like a doubling. I'm not an expert either, but once I get this nifty phone camera attachment I may be able to get a better look and possibly better pictures to share. At the moment I'm more in the MD crowd but hopeful. Kris.
<< <i>Are there really over 62,000 + collectors of these ? >>
I just counted and yes, there are!
Seriously, there are probably many times that number that collect the Native American series, though not all are completists. This coin has the added attractions of having a reasonably low mintage, nice looking packaging, being relatively inexpensive and being the only Native American dollar from the West Point Mint (at least so far). There should be steady collector demand for this coin and set, as long as the price doesn't ascend into the stratosphere.
Ha! I recall a spirited discussion on demand of the NA C&C coins in 2014 from collectors of multiple races. YES - there are!!

Back from NGC/PMG. I thought the coin would make 70. The first round to PMG they could not remove the dollar from the packaging. So I managed to get it out, just barely. The dollar was glued on the bottom a little. Cost me double grading fees.

Nice serial #...I can see why you sent it in. That said, because THEY couldn't remove it, they charged you anyway and then charged you AGAIN when sent back to you and you removed it and sent it back in? Sounds like double dipping AND you had to pay double postage too, most likely.

Does this appear normal to everyone?
Columns line up okay?
Looks good! And no, I am not blaming you, or anyone in particular. Just saying that we complain to the Mint when we miss out on items. Here we are now complaining 'cause the household limit is still in place. We are never satisfied.
Table looks great, thank you for providing. Im not sure what caused the spike in sales, but its a bummer the mint pushed the mintage up from 50k. I do like this coin though!
Have 4 or 5 boxes of 5 first strike eligible still sealed. Not sure if I want to load up more now that the HH limits are off. Still holding what I have though, I do like the coin.
I was going to load up but the demand seems weak at best at this point. Bought two boxes of ten and will put them in the closet. I hope they go quick but it doesn't look like they will at this point. Who knows! Maybe a sleeper Christmas present from the Mint.......
I thought they'd go quick. As much as I criticized the Mint for not removing hh limits, I guess it did give them an inexpensive sorta-cool Black Friday/Cyber Monday product.
A bunch of people must have decided a $13.95 (including the $1 instant rebate) gamble on the enhanced sac was worth it, even at the high mintage.
I was reading an article someplace about the FRN stuck or folded in the packaging, and the Mint acknowledged the problem, and they stated these sets were assembled at the SF Mint.
Hmmm... Sacabuck minted at West Point. FRN was printed in DC. Sets assembled in San Francisco. Sets sold and shipped out of Memphis.
That's interesting. I put 99 in my cart, and I could have gotten 99. So there must be quite a few available. (They did fall about 1000-1500 units short of their 90K mintage...)
Either quite a few got freed due to credit card or non-delivery problems, or they did another packaging for all the problem $1 FRN's that got glued to the packaging.
I feel like ordering a couple just to see what the S/N's are.
Anyone notice the 2016 C&C sets fell off the product schedule and is now TBD?

At this rate of decay, this product will sell out in June 3072. (No, I didn't really calculate calculate the numbers.)
I wonder what the mint is trying to prove by keeping the household limits.

That's okay, I can wait. Once that date arrives I plan to sell my set and retire!

I wonder if someone put together a buying network for the mint to push 2500 units out the door...

Yeah, I'm sure it makes sense to someone...
Product now unavailable, latest figures close to final. Sales by week:
These are still available from the mint without a household limit. What's up with that? A lot of returns?
