Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Sales through to the end of Tuesday reached 48,272 for 53.6% of the max >>
It took two days to sell the first half. How long it takes to sell the second half will tell the story. >>
The much anticipated demand is not there, it will not sell out the allocated 90k, and will be available until next year. >>
I think it will sell out before October, just a guess >>
Could very well happen, if the Mint did not produce the 90k in one run. If they sell out the possible first run of whatever they minted, I doubt they would have another run. To much on their plate this late in the season.

To be clear, I don't think the Mint will cut sales early... I think the Mint will sell out the full 90,000 mintage by October.
<< <i>One week of HH limits and then they will be up for grabs... >>
That, or at least adjusting it upwards, is, for collectors, one of the smartest things the mint could do. It does hurt flippers as, if there are many left and dealers want them, they just wait a week, but for collectors, it's a good thing, imho
<< <i><< Update: Sales through to the end of Thursday reached 50,024 for 55.6% of the max >> >>
I'm not impressed with those sales. Slowed to less than 1k per day since Tuesday and continuing to slow. Mint needs to remove the household limit for any chance of a sell out this year.

I wouldn't mind flipping my 5 (would actually like to only flip 4 and keep 1 though) if I could get double, but, if I end up holding on to them, for the grand total of ~$75, I'm fine with that. They are interest on the currency and also the coin finish. Now, whether or not they are 90,000 strong interesting? Don't know, but as a gamble, it could be a lot worse.
Has anyone called PCGS for 1st Strike instructions?
Since the SAC is a unique to this set I ass/u/me that as long as it is postmarked within the first 30 days of initial shipment there is no need to send the sets intact?
Do they have a special label other than 1st Strike Flag Label?
It looks like 70 grade coins of these 2015-W Sacs may be fairly common .... (44) MS69 and (11) MS70 already graded by PCGS if I read it correctly?
Edited to add: And if this is the case, MS69 graded coins might be selling at less than the cost to grade them and the cost of the coin itself in the not too distant future?

10 4 with that conclusion. I'm still in the believe: no sell out anytime soon and not a major winner...if lucky, it may turn out to be a minor one. 90k is just to darn many and the Mint should have only produced 50k.
"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
Also, is coin number 546368 the only number being used to grade these coins? If so, no position A and B then? That may cut demand in half again as collectors will only need 1 PCGS coin, not two.
I have not submitted any coins yet, so if anyone who submitted the first (55) can chime in regarding the position question that would be helpful.

Wondercoin, the 546368 is the base coin number and will show the total coins graded both FS & non-FS. 546369 shows only FS so you have to do a little math once non-FS coins start showing up. So far only FS coins have been graded. Position numbering could show up later. The population numbers take some time to catch up and list all possibilities.

Hmmmm.... I wonder if the JFK C&Ch sets will last four days at 3.5x the price. Both will have a uniquely finished brassbuck. The Sacabuck is the sophomore entry into the enhanced finish, and the JFK is the 3rd entry into the RP Prezibuck series.
The mint shoulda just kept the 2015 $1 C&C at 50K. (And only doubled the JFK C&Ch to 35K.) The only reason the 2014 $1 C&C sets sold out so fast last year, was because the mint didn't set household limits until the second day, meaning schmucks like me bought 10 sets. Then another 10 sets. Then a few more later that day...

I've seen a few reports on the coins, and it seems West Point did a fairly good job on these. (As opposed to say, the job Philly did with the RP Truman.)
I'm still waiting patiently for smartpost to deliver. (I'm not bashing them. The last time I did, they crushed my trumans...)
I would be surprised if they didn't do Pos A and Pos B like they did with the 2014 coin... unless the West Point Mint uses a different process on these w/ the edge lettering in the collar like they do with proof coins so that all of the edge lettering is the same on all coins? If so, that might help to explain the relatively higher grades these seem to be getting as well... I don't have any in hand yet (slow FedEx smartpost to CA) so I can't confirm. Anyone with coins in hand want to check??

<< <i>Position A or B shown HERE with an explanation.
Boils down to: POSITION A - Edge lettering reads upside-down when the President's portrait faces up
POSITION B - Edge lettering reads normally when the President's portrait faces up >>
This is only true for MS coins.
These coins are being struck out of West Point. I agree they may be using proof machines to bang these out, which is why the quality of the coins seem to be higher.

Now after double checking it says the box is 8x8x8.
<< <i>When I first checked the fed-ex tracking# it said the box was 10x6x2.
Now after double checking it says the box is 8x8x8.
Doesn't sound like it will be cheap to reship.
Mine says 10x6x3 in so maybe a regional rate A box 10 x 7 x 4.75

This will definitely finish them off. I did get 5 coming my way also. They should be here soon, can't wait to see these in hand. Kris

Fingers crossed.
You are right that the coin and bill are unique enough that special conditions shouldn't be necessary for FS
