    I am a graduate student studying Paleoclimatology and Geospatial Analysis. Coach a local swim team and some light farming.
    I belong to the worlds most elite athletic club. It cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get in and initiation was hell. On top of all that, monthly dues runs about $3000.

    Hospital Admissions 3rd shift, by choice. I don't have to answer to anyone and when it's slow I can work on my own project, read, or watch TV. And since it is considered to be an "undesirable" shift they pay me extra to do it. I could have had the dept heads job when it came open but it would have meant giving up third shift and I don't want to do that. I'm a night owl and I hate first shift.

    Web developer / designer. I design web sites then write the code that makes them tick. Actually finding someone who does both is rather rare. Most developers can't draw a circle, and most designers don't understand the logic of code. For those interested in knowing, I develop in PHP, Java, C++, Javascript, DHTML, and XML. I am currently studying ASP and JSP, and might get into Cold Fusion. I design using mainly Photoshop and Image Ready, but have and can use Paint Shop Pro, Fireworks, Freehand, Corel Draw, and Image Composer.

    As a side line I also do advertisement layout and logo design.

    I work for my dad whom owns a plumbing business in a small resort town in California. I earn money for coins, but most importantly, for flight lessons. I'm an instrument rated pilot with only a practical test between me and my commercial certificate. I hope to be flying in the commuter airlines this time next year! image

    This is a remarkable thread because after I posted my occupation (professor at University of Florida) one board member pm'ed me to say that he is a student at the University of Florida. I'd have never known this without this thread. Talk about the classic small world!

    I am a registered Nurse (RN). I take care of all you people when you are ill, injured, or have abused yourselves beyond your body's own ability to cope with the situation!

    I work 3rd shift in a medium sized, local hospital on the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU is primarily a cardiac step-down, but we see a broad mix of medical/surgical patients). And, like Condor, I choose to work this shift that VERY few others will even consider, because I HATE first shift ie..... too many people getting in the way.

    The only way I EVER like to see 7AM is when I'm still up. Also because I have more time to get my work done, less direct supervision, better pay differentials, I've always been more of a night person, it works very well with my family schedule, my coworkers are generally great to work with......etc. I work 3-12 hr. shifts/week, and I love my job. I like having 4 days a week off!

    I have never replied to these kind of threads before. I will now. I am a Area Manager for Mail Boxes Etc Franchise in Oregon which was purchaised with one check by UPS in February of 2000. I happen to have many bosses. One of which is my father. I have done OK in earnings by selling and buying coins. I have managed to put together a Large cent collection that has been very difficult. I am Registered as Pacific Northwest Collection on the PCGS Early Large Cent Reg board.

    Thats my story and I am sticking to it!!

    The primary attraction of trading for me (aside from the long-term goal of glorious heaps of dough) is the amazing freedom offered by it -- you can sell your entire "inventory" with the click of the mouse, and you're out the door.

    I'm an ecologist. I have written ecological risk guidelines for Los Alamos National Lab and ecological risk assessments for several National Labs and the Navy. I now actually practice ecology while working on radiactive waste disposal issues. I love the natural world and find our greatest hopes for preservation of our species in understanding it.

    W/o this thread I would have never known one of my future professors could be posting here as well. Its time to clean up my act image.
    Right now im a full time student majoring in history & poli sci at the University of Florida in Gainesville. As for work, I do a work study program through the VA program at the local VA hospital. REALLY fun stuff too...

    Self employed, I own a restaurant equipment company, also have a mechanical contractors license. So I can do plumbing gas lines and ventilation installations. I only do that when it relates to installing restaurant equipment. Highly educated, lowly motivated. I work just enough to pay the bills and buy a few coins.

    By day I'm the technical sales manager for a company that manufacturers electronic components. I act as the liason between the technical folks (engineering) and the not so technical folks (sales).
