BUYING Frank Gotch T229 Kopec Looking to BUY n332 1889 SF Hess cards and high grade cards from 19th century especially. "Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable
Yes, but is it Estil or Skyhawk? Looks like Estil to me.
I hope he puts something nice back up soon.

I don't think Estil has technically said he's taken anything yet. I don't read "I can use it" as the same as "I'll take it". BPorter has said he would group the two cards Estil had interest in into one lot. I think Estil has first dibs, but he needs to hop back on and clarify. If Estil passes, then Skyhawk gets the Ripken.
At least that's how I read the situation.

im just getting back into collecting after a few years off and would love to get into this, I have loads of 60's and 70's cards to add as lots later but I'll start with this one...not the highest $ but its been upgraded in my collection
Hey Scott...Welcome to the forum! If you will...please go back and read the first page of the thread for how this works. I think it's VERY cool that you offered those cards, but at this point, Estil has taken the most recent offering and will be offering something soon according to Bporter26. If you would like to take whatever that will be and offer one of these cards of yours, that would be the appropriate time to do so. Thanks for checking out the thread and have fun!
Detroit ... welcome to the boards. It's a fun place and hopefully you stay active. I would like to add one thing to what Hallco stated.
Please be sure that what you offer up is approximately equivalent in value to what you take. For instance, that Barry Sanders PSA 8 is worth about $4.00. So if you take a card valued at $25.00, you should offer another card valued at $25.00. What you do not want to do is offer 10 cards valued at $3.00 each.
Again, welcome to the boards. Have fun.

OK...Estil messaged me back and said that he is not going to take the cards and also mentioned that he thought the rules of the thread were confusing??? Soooo.....If anyone else has any confusion about how this works, please post your question(s) in the thread or pm me and I will do my best to explain. The long and short of it is....if there is a card being offered you want, say I'll take it, make arrangements with the person offering it and then offer something else of yours that you think someone might want. I didn't think that was difficult to understand but I apologize if it was. So at this point I am sending a pm to Skyhawks1b telling him that he has the Ripken if he still wants it. Hopefully he will reply soon. Thanks to everyone for making this a great thread despite the bumps along the way!

All that and he's NOT taking the cards? Ugh.

Hi Guys, Great Idea to bring the fun back into the hobby. Just a thought, start a new thread so that myself and others don't have to go through 39 pages to see what is up next. Happy Hunting. Thanks, Neil

And the rabbit hole goes even deeper! Skyhawks1b says he is going to pass. Does not have a card of similar value to offer and may possibly have been confused as to how this thread works. So at this point, I am going to shut this down. I encourage and will help any way that I can anyone who would like to start a new thread that is similar....just make sure the rules are more simple! Thanks for all the participation!
