I bought 2 boxes at the National. Was going to rip one but decided to keep both sealed. Just grabbed another 2 today from the Topps website so I might break one (or 2) open.
NASCAR - When you say '926 left', is that how many boxes Topps has left to sell? If so, how do you know?
BaltimoreYankee- Yes, Don’t tell Topps but someone on the boards discovered that you can enter in a large number and you will get a not enough in inventory or you are over the $12K limit. Where the two meet is the current amount in inventory. What we don’t know is do they have cases left that need to be added to inventory. It was 1300 a few days ago!
Nascar - Very clever. I saw Lee had a number up there a few days ago. Hopefully that will be the whole print run.
I like the fact that the boxes are so physically small that it's easy to sock a few away without the space limitations of, say, a regular wax box from the early '80's.
I decided to break open a box tonight. Got the relic card of Kevin Youkilis, gold cards of Mike Stanton, Colby Lewis, Chris Capuano, Jose Valverde and Vinnie Pestano and regular cards of Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, Mark Trumbo, Clayton Kershaw, Felix Hernandez, Miguel Cabrera, Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter.
2 boxes just ordered from Topps. Lee, I'm still in Columbia if you want to unload a few boxes...no pressure...
Can't bring myself to break the seal on my cases. Although I will say at least once a day I think about busting one of the cases and going on a ripping spree. Willpower is the enemy.
