If you go by the stated odds on a Gold #/61 there were 8400 boxes or 350 cases produced. If you go by the stated odds of pulling a Black #/5 there were 7300 boxes or 305 cases produced.
If anyone has an extra Yu Darvish base card for sale for a minimal amount then I'd like to buy one so I can get it autographed for my collection. I don't want the relics, silver, gold, etc, just a run of the mill base card of Darvish

They sold out of boxes before the end of the show some time Sunday. When I stopped by Saturday to get my last box they said they had 5 mini sets left to go with the mini box purchase.
I think they did well but few dealers were selling singles and everyone lined up early each day for the Topps redemptions. I think most people were at Topps trying to get the redemptions.
I love them but waited till I got home Sunday to start busting them. I kind of wished I busted them at the show I would have gotten a few more boxes.
The minis were sold on the other side of the Topps booth.
I caved in and bought 3 boxes and I don't even collect baseball. Gonna see how the market reacts once these sell out before I decide what I'm going to do with them. I was also able to add some 2012 Topps Retail Football which just came out.
Being a 75 mini nut who never buys new stuff, I went out on a lark and ordered 12 boxes. They arrived yesterday and I opened eight. Box eight would be hard to top, so I just stopped. The Harper Platinum is #1 in a run of 5. Very, very cool.
Opened 5 of the 6 boxes... pulled 28 Golds... and here are my hits...
Now I must stew over whether or not to open the 6th box... ughh, to rip or not to rip... that is the question. Auto's, by odds, fall 1 in 6 boxes... and I haven't hit an auto yet!!!
I think I'll sort through these first, find out where I stand on the set... post my tradelist to the B/S/T thread... and hopefully, have my mind made up by then.
That's an idiotic statement, 36 boxes is a case and a half and anybody can buy what they want until Topps runs out. I almost bought 3 cases at the National and they would've let me, but I only bought one. This has no bearing on whether the product is limited or not. When the odds to pull numbered cards are stated on the packs, the print run is there for everyone to see. At most, 8400 boxes were produced unless Topps produced multiples of numbered inserts. If I find two Darvish Golds #1/61 I'll let you know.

I have 76 dups.
So I opened a fourth box and surprise surprise, It only had 23 packs in it.
I am sure that means this is the monster box with three autos
Most likely that is the auto/relic pack that is missing.
Joe
edited to add picks from box 4
