Tidbits on Kyle Hudson. Great athlete - high jumped 6'10" in high school (he's 5'11") and runs a 4.4 40. Played football and baseball at Illinois. Doesn't look like his MLB career is taking off though - released by Orioles in the offseason and playing in the Phillies minor league system.

I've noticed a lot of folks noting their Darvish/Harper/Trout "stats" from these boxes, are they expected to be items that will go up in value in the future???? these are not their rc's are they? since the only cards I've bought this year so far are series I topps and a box of heritage which I was really disappointed in I was wondering if I should invest in one of these boxes.....al.

invest no... but it is a fun $50 rip!
Not sure I agree, and I will use 2001 Heritage as an example: Nice product overall, neat throwback concept, friendly pricing, fun rip with good rate of pulling quality inserts..... If Topps runs the mini concept into the ground over the next 5 years (which they surely will do like they do everything else that catches on), collectors will look back fondly at the 2012 Minis and the price will jump. Plus, you are getting close to $50 value over ripping boxes, so either the price of singles will plummet, or the price of wax will increase to where it's impossible to turn a profit by ripping. That's generally how the market adjusts itself anyway.
Not all modern products are losers. Most are, but not all.
I ripped two boxes last night and had a blast as it was the first time I ever opened anything modern before. Highlights included a Killebrew relic, a gold Kershaw and Romine RC, and a Bryce Harper RC. I am keeping one box sealed but will order 2 more to rip tonight.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I've openned 5 boxes now and have sold all the major golds, my 1 pulled silver common card, and 1 auto Frank Robinson card. Selling this stuff alone I've made my money back and then some - on top of this I have 1 set almost done and 2 extra harper rookies. I plan on buying a few more boxes!
I ordered three more boxes today to add to the three I've already got. I feel pretty strongly that these boxes will be going for $75-80 as soon as Topps sells out of them. I also ordered 4 more of the 2012 Topps FB blasters. I've been selling the "Captains Patch" pack out of them for about $9 on ebay, leaving me the 10 packs from the blaster for about $11 cost. Not too bad.
I cracked 4 boxes and have 4 more arriving in two days. My collation has sucked. I need the following and probably have 200+ cards as extras, so please let me know what you need, I can help you out.

Looks like Topps has only 1086 boxes of these left. I just tried something out...any order I try to place of 1087 boxes or more says that that is more than they have in inventory. When I try to order 1086 boxes it says that my order exceeds their website maximum of $12,000. I guess this will be a fun way to track inventory for those of you sitting on boxes to sell when Topps runs out.

You savvy ba$tard. So 45 cases left, hope I don't break down and buy another one.
Thats five more boxes. I've cracked three of them. Finally got a complete set. Lack two on my Rangers team set (59 and 611). I've gotten 2 Yu's and 3 Harpers. 192 packs in and no autograph....
I've pulled the following GU two Verlander, Axford, Ian Kennedy, Hamels, Beachy, Kershaw, and Killebrew bat.
Right number of golds...best players Robby Cano or Jose Reyes or Cole Hamels
Four Silvers, all spares
2 common Printing plates....and then one that has to remind me of the worst sports moment in my entire life....
Needless to say I won't be keeping that. It's for trade/sell and I'll probably get around to listing it in a day or two. Those other two boxes are mocking me, because they are filled with Bryce Harper autos and Yu Darvish printing plates and Mike Trout Game Used... and I'll open them and wish I hadn't.
As much as I dislike how Topps designs their cards these days, I have to admit that these Mini versions have a lot of potential. The very limited production numbers, without any factory sets, makes all cards in the set collectible for set builders and gives them value. I think the unpredictable collation only adds to this. There were fewer boxes/cases of these produced than the 1992 Stadium High Number football cards, of which Topps printed 300 cases. We all know that those cards still go for high $ amounts....including the non-rookie Brett Favre card. I can see a similar thing happen with the Trout and Harper cards. With the quadruple-crown talent we have seen thus far from Trout, at age 20, there is no telling what this guy might do in his career. Then, you factor in the short print Gold and Platinum parallels, which again set builders of these sets (or just collectors of Harper and Trout) will always be chasing.
I have cracked 4 boxes so far. 1 auto(Freeman), 3 game used(Dunn, Butler & Arencibia), 2 black/platinums(Saltalamacchia & Kuroda), 2 Harpers, and 2 Darvish. Lots of golds including the #7 Mantle. Still need the following singles:

I love this stuff!! I ordered six boxes. Was planning to rip at least 3 of them, but I stopped after the first box. I pulled 5 gold, 1 black, 1 auto, and a leaders card printing plate with Pujols on it.
I figured I had reached my luck quota and stopped.
I just got my 6. I was shorted all the parallels in one box and the hit in another, BUT for some reason I am ok with it. Here are the hits:
GU
McCutch Jersey Weaver Jersey Dunn Bat
Auto
Freddie Freman
Gold Parallels...lots
/5
Chase Headley Jeff Niemann
Plates
Alex Liddl Ryan Braun!!
I pulled 2 Bryce, 2 Yu's one Trout and a few Trumbo's. I was ticked cause the first box had NO parallels and the 5th box didn't have a hit in it.....and then this came: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
