Quite a few people it looks like (unless you're just referring to someone buying the #1's)... Seen a ton of the Golds selling for $4-6 a pop. Sold a lot of 25, mostly commons with a few semi-stars for $105... I was happy with that

BEST MINI BOX EVER????

Okay, I was thoroughly disappointed with my 6 box pre-order I received late last week... no auto, no set, no big gold and/or black hits! Made some trades & got some assistance from members here to at least complete my base and golden moments set!

Well, after the National... and all the hype about the product... I ordered another 3 boxes, just to stash! They arrived today... well, my will power is weak... I had to rip!!!

Box #1... Dud

Highlight of the box was an Eric Hosmer black, which was cool... otherwise, another relic (Carlos Santana, which I already had, but did trade to help complete my set)... no good Golds... and only 1 freakin' Golden Moments card (suppose to get 5)

Well, I was going to stash the last 2... but dang it, I can't give up after such a dud. That's 0 for 7 on boxes pulling an auto. So I decided I'd rip 1 more, and try my best to not rip the 3rd if it was another dud.

Thankfully... Box #2 was anything but a dud!!! Not the regular 5 golds... but 7!!! Not another relic... but finally an AUTO!!! Oh yeah, the Black I pulled... not bad either!

Nice pull ... it doesn't get better than that.

I have a similar story, 4 boxes with no black parallels, shorted 1 gold, and no autos. The best gold I pulled was Elvis Andrus. Pretty pathetic.

I received some additional boxes today and in the first box I hit this ...

Legally they cannot print any more unless they take out the gold/blacks and put in different parallel insert sets.

Given that the printing plates were inserted as well as odds for inserts posted, I'm sure the run is the run. Just because it hasnt sold out in the first four days of release doesnt mean it isn't "limited"

I think the reason they are still available is that it is only being sold via topps online. To my knowledge, this is the first time a product has ever been sold this way. I think someone calculated there are about 8000 boxes/3000 sets based on insert rates. As CDnuts and miniduff said, that number is now fixed and it would be super-bad business for Topps to do a second printing with new inserts.

I'm hoping their business model is to create a buzz for this product with a super-limited release and then continue the line next year through normal hobby outlets. 3000 sets is pretty limited compared to some of Topps recent endeavors.

I put my main set in a binder in regular pages... my second set, I'll just put in a regular 660ct box and attempt to cut some cardboard pieces to put in for filler.

Ya, I just found it odd that Topps was offering the 'limited' offering up to the 8/01/12 or so. They then took it off the market for a couple of days until it reappears without the "limited term anywhere on the page. Just kind of wierd. Oh well, happy cracking guys, go at it!

Since it is damaged I think I will just keep it.

I think the Harper base is shortprinted because I have found only 1 in the boxes I opened with 4 Trout and 3 Darvish.

Mine were just the opposite. In 5 boxes busted so far 2 Harpers, 2 Trouts, and only 1 Darvish. Hopefully I get 5 of each in my next 5 like I did Josh Hamilton in the first go round... It seemed Josh Hamilton, Craig Gentry, and Cody Ross were in every pack I opened.

I made 2 sets compeltely out of the 8 boxes, so that worked out nicely.
