I am on the fence, push me one way or the other. What do you think?
I think it's 68 material at least. (but I'm the owner)

Nope as that looks like tooth fairy money to me
These need to be pretty flawless to be worth the submission, and to me it does not look like this one would get a 68 or better if sent in.
66-67
Nice, but not worth slabbing, JMHO.
I see a 66 maybe a 67. If you are slabbing to make a profit it's probably not going to happen if your slabbing to go in your collection go ahead.
Either way it's a nice looking coin
HAPPY COLLECTING
I've submitted many of these and this is a 67+/shot 8 in my Ike book.
72 S Ikes are the prettiest and best struck IMO
Steve
I agree...maybe PCGS grades these like they do 1881-S Morgans....it has to be a 69 to be a 68.....
If it doesn't have the usual scrape marks on the Eagle's head and wing edge then it might be worth submitting.
IDK about the grade but thats a damn good photo...
not enough luster, may not get over 66
No

Great picture and could go 67.... I would say it is worth submitting... not profit-wise... but not many Ike's look this nice... On the other hand, selling as is to speculators might bring in a higher return. Cheers, RickO
I would not send it in.
If you can afford the submission than send it in.
You will never know till the dealing is done:)
yes as far as making the grade. I would submit with a group.
Best place to buy !

The little mark on the jaw will probably knock it out of the MS-68 category. It looks more like an MS-66 or 67.
I see nice luster! Do you have any Ikes already slabbed? If not, it might be a worthy attempt, not sure if it would grade 68 as that is pretty close to perfect. Need to magnify and look much closer!
Thanks for the comments all.
This is by far the nicest Ike that I have, although I don't usually pick them up so I only have a few, and none are slabbed. All I have to compare to are the PCGS and heritage photos and I am a little surprised at what is "allowed" on 68's and some of the 69's. As far as keeping or selling, probably a keeper since I do like it.

Now, if you find a 1971-S that looks like that, it would be worth sending in. The quality on those is typically BAD.
The scrapes on the rim (8:00) might keep this out of a 68 holder. Otherwise, nice!

Nice coin. 67
I would never send in an Ike.

Nice coin, but not worth the fees. Spend the money on an Ike Dansco, then start filling it with coins that are nice, but not worth grading.

Wow! Congrats!
Sometimes it just pays to throw it against the wall and see what sticks. Congrats. Looking forward to the TV

Nice!
Wow. Way to go. I would have said 67 from the photos. Sometimes they really look phenomenal in-hand and just don't look as good in a photo.
Congrats
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
I thought it looked nice good eye.
Hoard the keys.
Congrats. This is why we don't grade from photos.

Congrats!

Too bad they weren't struck at the CC mint. It would go 70+ easy if it was a CC.
looking good!!
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.
Congratulations. My only concerns were the little scratch, the reverse, and especially subdued luster.
I guess the picture doesn't do the luster justice.
It's an extremely nice and clean coin.
Great submission and going with your instincts.
Thanks! Still awaiting the TV but the cert page is live https://www.pcgs.com/cert/35495869
@cladking The original photos were taken with one of my early attempts at axial lighting and I had a tissue over the light source. It showed the surfaces pretty well but not so much the luster. It is a very pleasing satin luster, might be what pushed it to the + grade.

amazing, congrats.
Just goes to show that I know nothing about Ikes.
