Sweet looking pack. Looks great for an 8.

    Awesome Staubach!! Congrats!

Bought this pack a while back from BBCE to rip. Noticed it had a Magic Johnson on the back so sent to PSA for grading and just got it back today.

Nice pack!! Not only does it have a Johnson but it has a Long Johnson which is even better!! :D

  • I had that BMOC Jordan ungraded back in the day. Tough card. Great pickup.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.

Thank you. No secret. I use a Canon Canoscan 9000F. Scan at 300 dpi. I usually bump the brightness up one notch to more match the actual card but that depends on the card.

James has a good eye for quality cards.

I picked this Red Heart Mantle from him after looking for a little while for a decent one.

Picked this up in a GAI 8.5 holder in October and I went for a cross requesting 8 minimum. It just popped and it did land an 8. I should have probably cracked it and gotten a clear view, because now curiosity is creeping. If it wasn't for the fear of the oddball false minsizerq or trimmed I would have cracked.

Any chance at a future bump now that GAI is gone away?

Wow. Talk about three great posts in a row.

not sure it will bump due to centering

I always crack. It's not so much due to courage or knowledge as much as it's due to stupidity and ignorance.

    Nice cards, everyone.
Jfkheat has a Tom Cheney card?LOL.
That was the name of the bad guy in true grit, John Wayne was after him.

Picked up another low grade, but visually appealing card for my 69 baseball set I'm building (mixed graded and ungraded). I've always like the '69 All Star card design.

  • Bought from one of the regular guys on here :)

    Thanks Arthur!

Nice pickups all. I like the design of the 69 All-Stars too.

Today marks the culmination of a project that commenced over four years ago. 79T FB has always been and will forever be my jam, so I was bound and determined long ago to piece together the best possible rack box I could. The 24th and, therefore, most elusive rack was one with the Payton/Campbell RL card showing on top. Prior to last week, I had seen a grand total of two since 2013. Each time I was viciously blown to smithereens by an even heftier s-bomb. The third stab proved to be the ultimate charm, as I finally walked away victorious for less than half of what I was willing to pay the first time one appeared on the open market. (Note: Do not ever end listings on a Friday night.) Very clean specimen, no loader ding dongs on the money card, and a bonus nugget with a third famer hugging the header. Couldn't have asked for a better ending.

Congrats Stephen, absolutely awesome box you have! I was watching that same rack and totally forgot to set a snipe on it... glad it was you that picked it up, I know how much you love and appreciate the 79 set.

Tons of other awesome cards everyone, looks like November has been a great month!

The true Yogi rookie. PSA doesn't grade these. SGC has only graded 29 and there are only 5 higher.

one of the true rookies... ;)

dont forget about the tip top!!!

Love the Tip Top. Equally as tough to find as the Bond Bread. Nice pickup.

So much great stuff - hard to single anyone out at this point.

Hiya Dave - really like the Jordan "die cut" - always a favorite of mine - good show.

    Johnny Logan

Played 13 years in the MLs - mostly with the Braves - nice record with a .268 lifetime BA and 93 HRs and 4 all-star appearances from '57-'59.

Lifetime membership in the Old Timer's Baseball Association of Chicago.

This thing was filthy - turned out to be tobacco stain - wow!
