    That is an absolutely stunning and beautiful coin. The halo effect on the obverse with the colors is perfect. Is that a small die crack near her right hand?

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    The state of preservation of that coin is incredible. There does appear to be some evidence of an old dip residue.....but that is not unexpected for a coin of that age. An amazing coin indeed.....Cheers, RickO

    @amwldcoin.... Absolutely not.... that is mostly tarnish and that is a feature that so many here prize..... I only advise dipping for yucky stuff...Cheers, RickO
