Small Dollars Thread - Post your small dollars!

Here's a thread to celebrate all small dollars: gold or golden, coins, patterns or so-called dollars.
Here's a Sac to get this rolling. I love the way this proof looks in hand. It's very hard to capture in a photo. The TV captures the colors but not the mirrors.

Here are a couple:
Here are a couple "sleeper" Philadelphia Mint Type I gold dollars. Most people think tha the open and close wreath gold dollars are of equal rarity given the way they are listed in the "Red Book." They aren't. The close wreath is a lot tougher, and the "Coin Facts" survival estimates support that. "Coin Facts says there are 2.500 open wreath pieces and 500 close wreath coins. For those who are not familar, here are the two varieties.
Open Wreath with the "L" on the bust.
Close Wreath. This piece has satin as opposed to brilliant surfaces, but it has few marks.
The 1850-P gold dollar is another "sleeper." It is harder to find than the other Philadelphia Mint Type I gold dollars.

Very cool gold dollars @liefgold and @BillJones!
Bill, great info and pics on the the open and closed wreaths. I didn't know about these but just looked them up and read this info. The HA article mentions the mintages in Philadelphia were roughly equal but the information from CoinFacts indicates 4x the survivors for the open wreath. Very interesting info and I'm now curious why the number of survivors is so low.

People tend to save the first coins issued. That's why the 1849, open wreath, no L is more common than it might look like it should be. The 1849 Close wreath coins were the last gold dollars to be struck that year. By then most people had already set some aside and were not that interested in the new ones. Perhaps they didn't even know that the design had been modified.
Here is the rarest variety in the gold dollar series. 1862 Double Die Obverse. Less than 20 certified between the grading services.

The 1873 is graded PL. I think the 1862 has a shot at PL.

A nice small dollar thread... and not cluttered with prezzie bucks.... Cheers, RickO
A friend and I were recently going through some boxes of stuff he bought a while ago and he had no idea this was in there. Had no clue of the value either until I told him. Darn ethics!
How many more are out there just like that, thousands most likely

The question is how many are out there wild, loose in "circulation." Many kids broke them out and spent them on candy, ice cream etc.
Chris @ErrorsOnCoins!
I just found the slab photo for your Struck-Thru Twine Sacagawea!
It was in the following thread, but I'm posting it here since this one is much easier to find!
These pretty much all look the same.. but here is mine 🙂
Might be the best looking coin on this thread. What's the origin/back story?
Edit:
I looked it up and found this:

I love the recent innovation dollar for the telephone! It’s so good that the UK basically copied it this year.
@Weiss That gold dollar has the color that I like to see on old gold.

I am liking the classic SBA more and more in my old age. Maybe it’s dementia!
By small gold dollars, i'm assuming you mean the 12-15 mm range of US gold $1 dollars. I ask since there are all sorts of gold SCDs I could post in the 12-15 mm range including Harts Coins of the Golden West ... just as there are small gold $2.5 18-20mm range I could post too. If you look at 1 pinch (0.470 inch = 12 mm) pieces, here is one.
