FRACTIONAL CAL, STATE & HART TOKEN ISSUES Gold Gilt "1/2" 1932-DATED GILT LA OLYMPICS, SPRINTER NGC 67
From The Jankovsky Collection of California Slug Facsimiles.
Here is an interesting 15mm-sized 18kt gold token. Thomas Delorey had a nice article in the February 2017 Numismatist on these tokens that parallel HK-493. The photo is of a counterfeit as the 1910 date has a letter " I " in the date as opposed to a 1. There were apparently originals, fakes, and restrikes.
These Abraham Lincoln tokens are about 15mm in diameter (the size of Type 2 and Type 3 U.S. gold dollars). Collectors can find them with three dates —1910, 1927 or 1939. So 9 different types to collect in total. These small gold tokens come to market occasionally, and we all need to be careful to know if they are original, a restrike, or fake. The 2017 Numismatist article is fairly complicated but does have pictures of all the various types. Basically, fakes have an " I " as opposed to a " 1 " for the start of the date, and restrikes have a " broken nose " at Lincoln's nasal bridge.

Lol! I'm in love with ALL the small dollars, well except for most of the Presidential dollars lol.
Loving the whole series since SBA to Sacagaweas to Innovations!
I find I'm not liking many of the designs initially, but once they're in hand they do me right

It wasn't the Mint's decision.
Do you mean Congress?
Sorry to hear that, but glad it went to a forum member, @ZoidMeister.
Good to see Jared Grove's pieces getting a following!
Beautiful coins and old, Classic TrueViews!
Here's a great thread for them

And we like to see D.Carr drop in and join the folks at Grove 😉

That doesn't look like a dollar to me
I wonder if Jared and Dan could strike a 2000-W gold Sacagawea?
Old age strikes again. Got all excited about Grove Mint. Here’s one that will get me laughs. I think it’s cute😉

I'm actually curious to see what Jared has up his sleeve for 2022.
I didn't buy that Gasparro off ebay. It was a Cu-Ni version and I already own one.
I need to hunt down examples of the silver pieces however.

Nice collection Stef!
I just ran across these again in the following CoinWorld article. Looks like these were done by Ken Potter with Mike Bozynski of the Royal Oak Mint.

Very interesting! How common is it for these to have clips?

Just ran across this nice coin!
Player one design looks to be 90 degrees rotated die. But I am not familiar with this issue
Actually nope, this is the correct orientation for this coin.
Although that was also my first thought too back when I posted it in another thread.
