Is it safe to assume that all the coins in the early dollars incl seated were submitted to CAC, so that if it doesn't have a sticker, probably didn't get one?

Call the auction house and ask?

I still find the Stacks' site hard to navigate. It took too long to get to the group of coins I wanted to review, and it took me five minutes to figure out how to log off. If you know the lot number, great! Otherwise it like padding upstream.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

There is much hope for us yet. I yet again agree

I see a lot of predictions about a very strong sale. What do people think of the half Eagles as a group in this auction ?
Hi Gazes,
what predictions did you see ? I dont really know about all the lower grade coins as thats not the market Im in, but I would be surprise of the 1794 Dollar sells for more than 800k hammer. I would think 700k hammer it hammers.
I flipped through the entire sale tonight and have to agree with earlier comments on the half eagles. But, I spent most of my time looking at the 1860's to 1910's proof set runs. So many collectors today are used to see secondary album toning that they might not even recognize the original dusky, mottled, blotchy toning on many of those original silver coins. Many would call it neutral to slightly negative. CAC stickered a lot of them, deservedly so. The "rainbow only" crowd might be disappointed. That's the way they came and the way they toned when kept in wrappers for long term. A number of those early proof sets are neat....unfortunately the odds of any of them staying intact are not good.

The main prediction is Laura's in her March 3 Market Report where she predicts "insane bidding wars" and then some others on the forum. And of course I wish you luck finishing your type collection in Pogue V!
I saw blue moon yesterday and would HIGHLY recommend seeing them in person or having someone you trust look for you.
Stacks's photos in my opinion are very well done but there are things you will see in person that you cannot see in the pictures- especially the surfaces and originality; or in my opinion the lack thereof
The images for southern gold suggest average at best. I'll have someone look at a coin or two for me but I am not hopeful that I will be placing any bids.

A number of the coins say CAC in the title but the pictures have no stickers on them? Were they photographed prior to being sent off to CAC?

Just curious, is there a reason to share for the urgency in completing your set? Certainly some amazing coins you have acquired.

Thought you meant the ebay seller who usually added a pretty girl to his ugly coins....
From what I read, they should be in jail.
