I was very lucky to be able to acquire these pieces. The Owl speaks for itself and the 2018 WW1 Commemorative Dollar O/S on a Peace Dollar is pretty cool, has a new Eagle I've never seen on any of Dan's pieces. Maybe if Dan has time he could tell us about this piece. I'm not sure about all the facts but I think he entered it in a U.S. Mint contest for next year's design.
I am now broke, will work for DC medals.
The ww1 commem sure is nice ain't it. Just look at it. It would have made a great US mint issue. The winning design better be nothing short of spectacular.

2018 WW1 Commemorative Dollar, I usually don't comment on his concepts, but that's not a very realistic image of a soldier throwing a hand grenade.
I believe the soldier is holding a pair of binoculars.
I thought the arm is in an awkward position
the bioncs are backwards
the root of the eagle's wings are in a bad perspective with relation to the lay of the feathers and at that location
the eagle needs beefier wings
the legs attach too high
otoh, the mint will take a design and make alterations and DC knows that. It won't necessarily eliminate the design.
I do worry about the plain text on the reverse might.
a. Nice representation of a US Springfield Rifle, Model 1903, Cal. 30-06.
b. Looks like an 88th Division Patch on his left shoulder.
c. I still want one (or more).
Did anyone else notice Daniel in Charmy's, (The Penny lady) Denver ANA Report...
"Then this gentleman walked up to my table and handed me a Lincoln cent and asked me what I thought. I immediately could tell it was a fake and looked up at the gentleman. He had a big grin on his face, so I looked at his badge and it was Dan Carr! He showed me this beautiful portrait of Lincoln and said the coin was carved using that portrait as a model. This portrait had several differences than the design of our Lincoln cent. Very cool! "
Can hardly wait to see what the new Mr. Lincoln(s) look like !
I like the Dan Carr shirt, you should sell those on your website. By the way when will that be up and running again, I hate to say it but it's very reminiscent of NGC's website rollout.
I would love to buy some more of the eclipse medals, since there is no limit now. Any chance it will be running again with enough time to ship before the eclipse?
Any update on when the on-line store will have the construction completed ? It will be interesting to see what new items Daniel will make appear after the Denver ANA !

A bunch already appeared, and then quickly disappeared! I'm hoping to pick up a few more eclipse medals, as when I bought them it was limit one each, and that was by mistake he said.
Dan's So-Called Dollar Fellowship restrikes using one of George Thomas Morgan's Alaska-Yukon Pacific Exposition (AYPE) reverse dies are now available on the bay. Here are some of the seller's pics. Go check them out!
I suspect there will probably be a number of Dan's items from the Denver ANA up for sale / resale. Hopefully, he will have his website back in operation shortly with some "leftovers".
You Suck! Awarded 6/2008- 1901-O Micro O Morgan, 8/2008- 1878 VAM-123 Morgan, 9/2022 1888-O VAM-1B3 H8 Morgan | Senior Regional Representative- ANACS Coin Grading. Posted opinions on coins are my own, and are not an official ANACS opinion.
He was somehow lucky enough to acquire one from Dan and then proudly showed it off on the forum only to flip it less than a week later
That was a second try .. first time auction at $500 start didn't get any bites, so it was re-listed with a $700 teaser price
Ohhhh joy !!!!
The 1861 CG Double Eagle is available too.
Think of it as a Second Chance offer in case you missed it the first time.
As a collector, I've never flipped anything myself but I've purchased a few pieces from flippers. They cost more but sometimes you just want it and miss it the first time around.
Sometimes you may only have one opportunity, like this 2006-2007 Colorado Ski Country Gold Pass Token ~ brass, 63mm, swirl finish, with fob, translucent enamel logo, uniface without serial number. Listed under Special Event Tokens on Dan's website. Obtained from a very kind gentleman who was able to stop by his table at the Denver ANA. Can't say as I have ever seen anything quite like it....

Is there anything on the ANACS holder that differentiates this silver eclipse medal from the ones without the hologram? Seems like the holder should mention the hologram, since it is the rarer version.

I think Danny ought to do the antiqued versions of the octagonal on a regular, maybe not the Indian type though.
Well, just Love coins, period.

I bet it doesn't come close to Dan's version.

Wow. 8/11/2017, 1140a, still constructing.
Maybe he is doing a whole site upgrade to a new design
The site is back up
edited to amend
Online Store is still in construction
Other pages updated with a new look and content
My latest Daniel Carr addition...
An 'oldie', but a very, very 'goodie'. Never thought I would be able to add a Tesla to my collection !
I've always liked that Tesla medal. Congrats!
I knew it would happen.
Can you imagine what the world would look like today if Tesla was able to make his vision of long range wireless transmission of electricity work.
I love that Telsa.
does it still have full lustre, or was the site harshly cleaned?
It was cleaned with acetone so not harmed but revealed additional details

My latest purchases arrive today!
JW, the 1861 looks MS70 to me, and it's in vinyl. Good purchase.
Congrats on the 1861 CG double eagle! It looks great.
When I posted it here, I was hoping someone here would pick it up. You have to be fast on Dan's site.
I think there's one small hit under the chin... maybe 69??

Got these last week.....
My "Merlin" bars came in last week also and they are very nicely done. Wonder how they would look in a 5 oz. size ?
5 oz. plus antiqued....
Absolutely antiqued ~ like Dan's 2015 Giant Pirate Cob.....
An antique 2017 silver owl slug just sold for $500 on a BIN of $700:

Absolutely ~ Yum, Yum !
This one does the same. Just love the belly button.
There was a great thread here discussing the designs as Dan was creating these. Anyone remember that?
