    Fantastic!!!

Sure hope I can actually order as I'm sure the site will b a total mess.

Very much looking forward to hearing what the mintage will be. I'm sure they know why not just announced it?

Seems like the mintage of 10,000 per the Coin World article takes all the air out of this balloon, at least for the flippers......

Maybe not all the air but some of it for sure. If the HH limit is more than 1 piece then most of the air will be gone.

Geeze! Take a good thing, and do that to it! I will still be buying max, and maybe multiple accounts too.

    Thanks for the link William.

10K is way more than I expected. Not flipping, but my 2015 wants a sister, and a pretty thing she is...

Surprised and saddened to see the increase in mintage to 10,000. IMO, this ensures that these will be worth melt shortly after the frenzy dies. Too bad, because this is the nicest design Ive seen on platinum.
I guess you cant have it both ways. People will complain if there is too many or too few.
10,000 is 2 1/2 times the mintage of last year.

I have a feeling it will still be a good flip. I will buy fast and furious.. can always return if they flop (which I doubt they do).

10,000 is an average mintage with the 4,000 last year an outlier. 9 of the last 20 years have had mintages over 9,000 and the first year was almost 21,000.

None trade anywhere near melt in retail markets. Melt +50% is about the cheapest you can find.

I have plenty available for sale at melt plus 35% FYI.

Regarding the 2016... I justed saved a ton of money in the short run with that mint announcement. But, in the long run, I probably lost a lot as well. Wondercoin.

HH limit of one will not deter the multi-accounts and Aunt Peg from grabbing as many as they can. Nice design!

It looks like the PC Police were at it again. She looks much more gaunt than the original design, and now she's wearing crepe instead of sheer. They just can't leave well enough alone.

    +1

They really butchered a stunning design. Pitiful.

That one (AFP-R-07) is a beautiful design...but someone will complain about something about it. Dad-gum Political Correctiveness!

You were right, the design was nice, but the sculptor/engraver changed it and now it is a let down. With 10,000 minted I will be in no hurry for one.

Hopefully the actual coin will look nicer than this artist rendition of it. Sometimes that can be the case.

I applaud the HH limit of one. And I think this coin will be popular despite the 10,000 mintage.

    I'm in for one.

I really like the design, even watered down a bit it may be the most attractive, of the entire series, but it will be the 6th highest mintage in the last 20 years and the 2nd highest if you take away the 1st 4 years, and with the hefty premium, I don't see how this would be very good from any real investment stand point, but who knows? Still a nice coin for a collector and I'm sure it will sell out, but 10,000 with that premium? I don't know.

Late to the party as I've been working too much.

10K FANTASTIC!!! SUCH great news for the 2015 plat!

I'll still absolutely buy one just cause I love this design. No one could say it better than Miles: Yes: a woman on the obverse and an eagle on the reverse. I am in!

Will keep it raw. With a 10K mintage I could care less about the grade. I enjoy most all moderns much more in the OGP than in slabs anyway. I only slab "hot" issues where the 70 premium will be substantial.

Was hoping for a low mintage in a way so that I could flip one or two to cover the cost of the keeper but this is great for my 15's.

Will likely have to wait until we can see images of actual coins to determine how well that the design was executed IMHO.

Me, too. I find it one of the best, original designs to come out of the mint in years. I'm in for one, for me to hold, not for flipping...

With Plat being upside down to Gold right now and with both metals being low I think this has very little downside.

Besides it is a nice looking design. I am definitely in for one.

I don't get it. The torch flames go hard left, Libertys' hair goes hard right. Must be REALLY windy.

Grainy looking detail, jowl / chin area especially.

Also, the absolute up/down s/s, x/y axis depiction of the torch makes me think this if the origin point of the drawing. It's just so "square".

Platinum for the week has been between $950-$999. If I am reading the U.S. Mint pricing grid correctly the coin should be priced at $1350. I'm in....love the design too.

Well, hopefully brexit doesn't cause PM's to rise.

Sharp spike early this morning among all PM's, but profits taken quickly. Platnum is rising on the NYMEX, something to keep an eye on, since this week's PM's closings will effect the price of the coin...

We've already got two days worth of closes averaged in. It's highly unlikely Pt will average over $1,000 after adding Fri-Mon-Tues in. Sales prices will be announced Wednesday the 29th.

PM's are based on Wednesday to Wednesday. Today's close is the second day, there's still M-T-W left.

But yeah, looks like Platinum is going to be safe, though if it'd drop a few hundred for the next few days, I wouldn't mind.

On the other hand, if gold sustains at the levels it is, the Nancy Reagan FS may open at a higher price on Wednesday. (And I personally don't care, since I'm not in the FS game.) I am surprised that more profit taking hadn't happened in the Gold and Silver market yet.

Edit: I said the FS would go up, but that's be hard to do if it's not on sale yet... Changed to open pricing...
