The ebay handle "Juan Dog" makes me feel very confident as a buyer of high end sports cards.
I take added comfort after a close examination of his other 4 items for sale that includes 2 defibrillators, a hundred pound dumbell, and an electric kettle.
It is 100% legal to reseal these packs and there is no definitive way of detecting if the packs have been resealed. The most recent 1979 Topps Baseball Box sold for $500 on eBay. It is 100% illegal, immoral, and just plain wrong to reseal packs and sell them as unopened on eBay or anywhere else.
Everything in this auction is guaranteed authentic and guaranteed in good shape. 14 day money back guarantee. Here are the details on the cards - This is a HUGE Lot of 425 cards from the 1979 Topps Baseball Set. Includes Tons of STARS! Such as Munson - Stargell - Morgan - Perez - Seaver & much more!!

The fine print is what makes it so slimy. The "immoral" bit is in tiny font (a lame CYA attempt). Why in the world would anyone want to re-seal packs, or care if it's detectable, if not to sell them? The seller is a douchebag of epic proportions.
LMAO what a joke....I guess I should do this as I have 2 x 3200 boxes of 1979 topps baseball from a shop that closed in the mid 80s that I have never went through...I can go through them, buy some wrappers gum & box and guarantee PSA 9s in each pack.....damn Im a genius

What a jerk. I hope some board members blow this auction up like the last one. On one hand he is promoting the sale of repackaged cards and then in tiny print saying the exact opposite. If indeed it is illegal this auction should be grounds for prosecution for fraud.
<< <i>Since when it is completely legal to repackage and reseal cards? Or is it a loophole that legally they can do it, its just a moral/ethical issue? >>
NSA response: Resealing packs is as completely legal as it is for the government to capture/store/observe all our phone calls, emails, and websearches...

'Sir, I realize it's been difficult for you to sleep at night without your EX/MT 1977 Topps Tom Seaver, but I swear to you that you'll get it safe and sound.' -CDs Nuts, 1/20/14
So he realized that his resealing skills needed work so he opted to rip open the packs that mind you - he originally resealed, and now is trying to sell them with the box and broken gum. Is this BBG's twin? Bublebathboy?

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
I now have read this entire thread, along with the other "Resealed" "BBG" "Gum and wrappers" threads and comments, along with the snide BBG remarks, and I would like to take this time say a few things.
I have dealt directly with Paul AKA BubbleBath Girl and he was very good to deal with. In fact he sent me the right card with the wrong grade and we laughed about it, and he took care of the wrong and made it right. I was in awe of his methodology as far as his "opening of unopened product" posts. His nice neat stacking of his cards, gum, wrappers. I have to tell you that I thought "something was a miss". Why would someone waste good top loaders/card protectors for worthless o/c dinged corner common cards and take the time to put them into a vault box. Then I thought, well maybe he is an orderly person who obviously keeps everything he opens, and I knew he put complete hand collated sets together for sale. I mean I was intrigued that I someday could do something this kewl. I then read the post where someone outed him and his multiple sales of wrapper, box, and gum. I was shocked....
In the last year or so, I dropped about $100 or so on a box of "Unopened" Battlestar Galactica wax, and never though to myself that anyone would ever take the time to sell "Re-wrapped" B.G. cards. What would be the point. So I guess when I hear that some s**thead is selling these 1979 cards "rewrapped" on eBay, I kinda take it personally.
So I will say here publicly, until BBG comes out to explain his actions as to why, what, who, when, & how, I will not look at another one of his auctions, converse with him in any shape or manner, or buy anything from him ever. Nor will I recommend to anyone here nor there any of his items for sale. And for the record, it is sad, very sad because I was set to purchase alot of 1979 Topps cards from him in PSA 10, because I am building a set, very slow, but I am building it.
These sellers on eBay make me nauseated, and I am disgusted by them.
Congrats to ALL OF YOU for outing this slimeball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reading this thread again was a blast. It's hilarious that people naively thought I was really expecting the $10,000 bids to be legitimate or conversely that I was terrified of repercussions. I can assure neither was remotely true. The group think, vigilantism and overt racism displayed is troubling though. You guys have a hobby where 50% of vintage wax on the Internet has been tampered with - according to a post from MantleFan23 quoting Steve Hart.
Is it really worth resorting to bullying tactics when half the market is fake? I had one of your members win the bid for one of my defibrillators and refuse to pay in order to punish me. He helped drive up the bidding so I guess I should thank him. He used the name of NFL player Jason Peters and even the address of Peters' Zone Athletic Performance in Scottsdale.
I also find it funny that people get upset with reseals when card manufacturers are putting out worse. I couldn't stop laughing when I read that thread where a user finally pulled an "autograph" card from 2008 A&G. The card was the Bigfoot truck and the autograph was tire tread. How dumb does Topps think the consumer is? Rulon Gardner auto? Really I can get the autograph of the guy who quit The Biggest Loser? Yippee!!
A large number of you get way too vindictive, crude, and racist over something you have no legal right to govern. If the hobby needs that much policing maybe it's not worth saving. And if it is worth saving you should work with eBay and not as vigilantes.
P.S. I'm still laughing at stooge's post. The mental image of a grown man being sad because his box of Battlestar Galactica cards might have been resealed is just too pathetic/hilarious. Jesus Christ, his poor parents have to be so embarrassed.
