Nice hits. This has been a good 84 football wax box. Centering has been great!

    Thanks,

  • Nice hits! got to love the Rice and Jordan , have always liked the 87 fleer basketball stickers , very patriotic in Color!image

I pulled a beautifully centered Dickerson RC out of my 84 wax pack. All the cards in the pack were nearly dead centered also. I was preying for an Elway but I'll take a Dickerson as a consolation prize.

  • Nice cards, the Marino centering looks great but the touches on the corners will hurt it. Can't complain on the Rice and LT!
  • Great pulls all around. Stunning Marino RC up there and some nice MJs! Looks like I'm the only on that got a an OC 87-88... If anyone pulled a nicely centered sticker from the 87-88 or has a pack with the sticker showing, PM me if interested in selling.

    Whens the next rip??

I would expect the next rip to be around the end of October/first of November. We need to let Steve have time to replenish some of his inventory.

I think Kurt sums up my sentiments. It was still fun.

The Kurt Bevacqua card kinda looks like Adam Jones chasing down Derek Jeter's triple last night image

  • I didn't score too much from my packs, a few stars with nasty tilts and OC cards.

I did, however, snag a Ripken rookie from a 82 Cello....

and this beaut from an 84 Donruss wax pack....

I did and got a Brett with about 30/70 L to R Centering and sharp corners. The coloring was good, not faded at all.

Well I finally finished opening the majority of my packs. Kept the 75's and 76 closed for now. Also a few cellos with stars showing will stay sealed. I added a half box of 81-82 basketball to the rip. I have to say this has been the best results i've gotten ripping a group of packs like this. I had a lot of nice hits and many of them even had great centering!!! Here's some pictures of the highlights.

Thank you. The Marino was definitely the highlight. I think it should probably grade a 9, but will probably just keep it raw.

Those 84s are centered well. Looks like a great run on those for everyone. I'd like to get a box of those myself.

    Thanks,

Gorgeous Jordan. If not for Centering, you may have had a shot at a 10

  • VCP on the 1987 Fleer Jordan BGS 9.5 is $688 so it made the group rip well worth it to me. I should have it in hand on Wednesday and will post a scan of it same day.
  • Got them in...
pulled these in this group rip
