Quick question was reviewing the BBCE sight and noticed some of the packs would be cheaper to just buy individually off the website for example 1982 rack packs for $9 with the 10% discount and 86 fleer $315 with the discount versus $375 in the break. Is the premium due to having the piece of mind that the packs are from a fresh box. Thanks, not trying to question the prices was just curious.

I believe the 10% off is thru here and not on the website. I also believe that since all the cards are coming out of one sealed box, then the odds of pulling a star rookie card are alot better than some random wax pack.

I believe there are a few factors:
86/87 bskt - The price for the break is probably higher because it is a full box and Steve probably paid more for these than he did the packs he has on the site. 82 BB rack - These racks were the longer racks (size wise) and demand a premium. They are not as readily available.
One thing to remember is Steve is buying and turning his inventory (especially on popular products) all the time. With the un-opened market as hot as it has ever been and more collectors coming on board, what Steve pays for boxes today may not be the same as what he pays tomorrow. Steve has already said the vintage market is drying up. Partially because alot of people have opened the stuff and the other is because people are holding onto it and not selling. He has also commented that his buying prices are going up.
I am always looking for a deal and trying buy as low as possible but I have no issue paying a little premium buying from Steve. He has already proven that if he makes a mistake he will take care of you.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I talked with Steve today and he told me the packages will start shipping on Monday. He apologizes for the delay but said the are so far behind they think they are in first. They are still unpacking from the National and are down help. Hopefully this won't be an issue for anyone and he wanted me to relay the information to you.

1980-1989 Cello Packs - Rookies
EDIT: Ah hell I didn't notice I won one of the boxes (1981 Topps Football)
Since I already paid if anyone wants this box and if it is ok I will pass on it because I don't want to confuse things with payments to BBCE.

Brendan,
Just e-mail Steve and tell him you forgot to add the empty box. He will take care of you.
