This lot may need to be changed up after the 48 hours of crickets.

No disrespect but a change up might get this thread back on track.

Great idea. My father got me into collecting by buying me all the Mantles (his favorite player) and Reggies (my favorite player) for my 8th birthday. Here's my contribution to maybe start someones collection.

I'll take it. Loading my stuff to photo bucket now. Thanks for the Mantle. My first one EVER!

Just realized the original lot was not taken. Since I grabbed the Mantle if I put something up it will confuse everyone so I am going to add to that lot, is that ok?

Sorry Bobby. I was stuck down in Philadelphia the past few days. Just got back today. Yours are going out tomorrow morning.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

I saw a show on the NFL network last night entitled "Top 10 named games"....Earnest Byner was #10. image

edited to add: I don't consider myself a Browns fan, I have liked some of their players throughout the years, but I remember feeling so bad for that guy when I watched it as it happened.
  • Question for the PIFers...would a NASCAR lot interest anyone?

How long before a lot is officially declared "stale"?
  • Stale? I think this is a very good question. Waiting for a hockey lot? Let's see what you have to post. I have a football and baseball mix to post.

I already bailed out one lot. I am gonna wait a bit before I bail out someone else. I have all kinds of great lots to post as well. Last time I posted a lot, it lasted all of 30 seconds before someone claimed it.
  • EAsportsEAsports Posts: 1,566 ✭✭✭
I actually like the lot. But I don't want to be the guy that doesn't offer enough to make anyone interested.

I think everybody is waiting for the next Jim Brown autograph to pop up, and it becomes less about moving stuff on to the next guy and more about making each lot better than the last.
    My LSU Autographs

Only an idiot would have a message board signature.

Let the record reflect that this is now the fifth time- on this thread alone- that Bobby has congratulated himself for the exact same act. The above summary does not count the post where he toots his own horn for shipping really fast and his lot being taken in one minute (that one was related to the Jim Brown card).

Bobby, please stop doing this. We all are aware that it was a kind and generous act, and we will never forget that it was you who singlehandedly saved the thread.
    Thank you.

Bail someone else out?? Thats a good one funny guy.I would never need you to bail me out funny guy,
but if thats what you think go right ahead and pat yourself on the back again funny guy. If I find it
necessary to put up something else or add to an already good lot,I'll go check my converse shoe box

Go raiders.......I suggest you go to the converse shoe box then. 2 1/2 days with nothing but crickets and tumbleweeds is long enough, dontcha think????

Again... VALUE BE DAMNED!!! Just post something cool others might enjoy. I really don't want to see Pay If Forward items start showing up for sale in the BST...

2 whole days is not that long in real life there funny guy, most people dont check back in every 5 minutes to see if the others
are patting them on the back for there great job,or in your case patting yourself on the back, amongst other places Im sureimage

Walter-Looks like you will need to add this page as well..

Shawn-I will ship out tomm. after work, sorry some of us are not as fast as others at shipping, but
I will DRIVE fast to get there if it helps.

OK here it is....if it don't look good, tell me and I will try to get something else up! All of these cards come straight out of my personal collection! Many of them were pulled out of packs by me! Let me know if ya want em! Cards of stars and Hofers. If you don't know what certain cards are, ask, but I think most people will recognize most of them. The Hockey is a Topps Jarri Kurri Rookie(sorry for the flashbulb) and the Auto is an 8X10 of Billy Sims with COA.

That's the biggest no-brainer I have been offered in a long time. DEAL!!!

Note that the card I am offering completely separate from Hallco's lot, and I do not want anything in return. This is merely being done as a public service to put the almost unfathomable bobbyw8469 avalanche of self-congratulation to an end. First person to post you want it; it's yours. Bobby, please see to it that you hold up your end of the bargain. Thanks in advance!

Hallco, I'll take that lot. The Garvey & Ichiro peaked my interest. My lot coming in a bit.

Up for grabs is a signed '58 Topps Duke Snider and an '83 Topps rack with Seaver and Murray showing on top. I'll also throw in some more items to fill it out a bit but these will be the high points.

  • Sorry but I'm adding this onto SCMAVL's lots because this thread is about giving. Whoever claims his items will also take these 2 cards. Sorry about the camera phone photo but that's just the shadow on the top of the cards. That Bench is a guaranteed 8 - 9 is pushing it - and of course we all know this is Jeters Bowman rookie.

Edit: For those who want to get in on this thread but always think that there lots wont hold up, this is a great time to jump on this NOW and post something in return similar without having to put up half your collection.
