<< <i>oih8- I'm not a variety guy, but I do like the die cracks at the date. >>
There is one of the "Pick Up Points", I was under the impression that it was a "die clash", not a "die crack". I stand corrected it is a die crack under the date (and then some).
... but I need clarification on this...I do not have my CherryPicker Book with me...or it could be the DDR (Pick Up Point lower portion of HALF)
<< <i>Boosibri - Nice coins, any reason you picked 1842? >>
I had the majority of the really tough 1842 gold coins and thought that doing a transitional set of gold and silver coins was a great way of creating a set which I could be the absolute best at. It is progressing but some upgrading will come. My 1842 $5 Small Letters is likely second finest and my large letters $5 is top 5. It is a fun set!
I have reserved a "virtual unknown" (according to PCGS CoinFacts) Seated Half and I am very anxious about posting it...once I get it in my possession. Then I need to figure out which one (existing or newp) to keep in my Type Set.

At least there is one not imaged or listed in PCGS CoinFacts, although it is listed as a variety. I did see one in another TPG holder yesterday though...not attributed on the label.

Some of the circ. Seated quarters posted by Barberkeys are virtually never seen in full crusty, original condition. Very impressive run of nice quarters in this thread.
Ron - Those scarce and rare qtrs are courtesy of Doug and Paesan's collections. Both have a great eye for wonderful original coins. PS, wait until you see the 73-CC, I hope to image next week.
oih8 - Do you have a std half with an extended index finger?

<< <i>Boosibri - Beautiful '56-S half. Please let us know how it turns out. >>
Looking forward to a favorable result as well for you. That's an amazing coin. I wouldn't have the nerve to buy something expensive (raw ) from overseas. Good luck !!

Doug.... Really nice Quarter... It's in the grade I like the best for Seateds : ... " AU 55 "
Paesan..... When you retire from your professional vocation- you will be able to open up a Brick & Mortar shop and have enough inventory to last a few years ! I know the 43-O isn't just a run of the mill date.
....as they say.... Just passing thru.... Nice stuff everyone !!
