GotTheBug, Quarters are my favorite denomination, but I can't resist any denomination if its a good quality example. I actually think it would be very cool to represent each date and mint mark with a PQ example regardless of denomination. Just to have one nice coin in every slot would be a beautiful set. The seated dollars are the hardest to find. They're all banged up and washed out it seems. I only own one, which has great surfaces for an AU, but not sure about the color.
I once had the Priviledge of viewing some of JHD's ( jhdfla) incredible Seated Quarters at a Seated Collectors booth at a major show. Each and every coin was hand selected for eye appeal. Great stuff. If you have the chance, open up his attachment (... brings you to his set, ATS ) ... You will not be disappointed... More like you will be AMAZED !!!

Thanks Mike, that's very kind of you to say! I have a mentor that is an expert on the series and happens to be a good friend who I've known for years. Consider myself very fortunate, and grateful for his help.
I love this thread... on it's way to a thousand replies...

Earlier this evening, a friend asked if I still had a coin I had posted some time back.
This Half is in my 1889 Proof Set - I plan on keeping this set for awhile...
