Check out this Mexican 20 Pesos Gold I got today!

I have always loved this design and wanted one of these. Appropriate I finally got one in 2012 since it has the Mayan calendar image
Do you love it? Hate it? Don't give a hoot about non-US gold?

I like it. The design is great, but it's my second favorite. I do like the 50P design better.

Completely agree! I picked this one up for $805 shipped, you simply can't beat that premium.

My pleasure to share the pic!

Nice pick-up, but...is this coin visible with the naket eye? Or do you need a loop to see it. 15 grains = .031 tozimage
(gr) is the standard abbreviation for grains
    (g) for gram
The coin says: 15 gr. of gold

For us uninformed in Mexican gold issues....place a penny next to it..for size comparison.

Aztec calendar, not Mayan. Incredibly beautiful design, especially in gold!

  • What's not to like about Mexican gold image? The 50 peso is fantastic as well, but the 20 is the real gem in my eyes. The fact local B&Ms around here sell Mexican and Euro gold at spot the moment they receive it is okay with me image.

Oh yes, it is very visible in hand, it is actually larger than a Washington Quarter at 27.43 mm in diameter (Quarter is 24.3 mm)
It contains 15 grams of gold, not grains... making the actual gold content 0.4823 troy ounce. Now the Dos Pesos I have are very small on the other hand at 1/20th of an Oz and 13 mm diameter.

Also, thanks for the correction that it is the Aztec calendar! imageimage

Thanks Weiss.....The 15 gr on the coin had me confused, since gr. normally stands for grain & not gram.
