That Seaver is a tough card to get in a nice condition.

Got my 3 packs today. I decided to open one and send the other 2 to PSA.

The pack that I opened was about as common as it gets: Roy White, Marty Perez, Dave Roberts, Jim Todd, Dave Concepcion, Santo Alcala, Eduardo Rodriguez, Rob Dressler, Rick Rhoden and Nate Colbert Turn Back the Clock.

No star power in that pack but it was fun opening it and I'll definitely be back for more. Thanks to Mike for organizing it and to Steve for all the effort of mailing all this stuff individually.

Seaver I may keep raw, as it's borderline 7

They are going to SGC... I got a Reggie Jackson & Fergie Jenkins but they are Ex to ExMt cards at best....

Mint cards from this are TOUGH!
    Enjoy your collection!

Thanks. I was 7 years old & these were the first cards I opened as a kid.

I've never had a high-grade Dawson before & I'm stoked as it's arguably the best centered (back & front) and sharpest card I got. There's 15 SGC Dawson cards in SGC 96 & a whopping 208 in PSA 9

    Here's a better/bigger picture:

That Dawson looks 9/10ish to me.

Is the top left corner square?

If so, that bad boy looks high grade to me.

So glad a great card has come out already.

Just for amusement purposes what does a PSA 10 bring?

    Congrats on the card.

Opened 2 of my 3 packs.
McCovey with a large edge ding and a Rookie Outfielders (Jack Clark) that could grade 7/8. Really bad 2 packs.

The third pack will remain unopened as it has Bench on the back.

I finally went thru my 77 raw set and put a list together.

I am looking for decent raw cards nm or nm/mt.
I am not look for mint or graded cards. However, I am pretty picky on centering

I received my packs today. I was too late to Post Office Saturday and had to wait until today.

Three packs I sent off to PSA as a test since I have never had any graded before.

It was a lot of fun opening them. I am glad I already sent out the other three or I would have ripped them too.

    Here is pack #4

Slightly alarmed to find one of my 8 packs was not sealed, and there were only 6 or 7 cards in the pack (can't remember now)...did get a pack where Winfield is showing on the back...kept that one sealed and opened the other 7 packs...got a Turn Back the Clock Yaz that I think has a real shot at a 10

You picked a good month to get them graded. Hope you nail a 9!!!

Thanks for the good wishes, a 9 would be awesome with only 2 graded 9

After reviewing the pack grading standards I chose my guess is one 7 and two 8's

    We shall see.

I decided to open two more packs. While most cards were poorly
centered, I did manage to pull a few nice ones and posted the scans
below. The Dawson was nice to see! The t/b centering is low on the
Dawson, as shown by the back scan, but I can live with it.

I've got 3 more packs to go, but I think I'll keep two sealed.

Since I purchased a sealed box, I decided to buy a Bob Jones card from eBay, and got it auto'd TTM within 10 days.

It displays nicely since he's showcased on top of the 1977 Topps Box!

Cool auto! Makes a nice accent to the sealed display!

Pretty good centering on the Jones card as well! image
