I see "Leo Nunez" is in the set (SP #450), now I wonder if there will be a SSP with his real name! (Juan Oviedo?)

Card look nice, love the bright colors...

<< <i>426-500 are the SPs. That is weird that you only got one Then and Now and 12 Flashbacks! Any chance you can scan the wrappers stating odds?

Maybe you have an SSP in there. I hope so! image

Who is going to pull the first autograph? I haven't seen any on EBay as of yet but I did see a Flashback Relic of Ernie Banks.

    Craig from Texas

EDIT: I just saw a common auto. Went ahead and placed a bid for $19.99 on it for the heck of it. It's a common but I am sure someone will quickly outbid me. >>

I've met Jerry Kendall before. Great guy. Former UofA baseball coach. He's in the College Baseball Hall of Fame.

While we are showing our best Heritage pulls, here is mine:

    image

    Next bests would be:

    04 Berra blue ink
    06 Musial blue ink
    07 Red Schoendiest
    07 George Kell
    01 Dick Groat blue ink
01 Geoff Jenkins blue ink (sad this made the list)
    10 Justin Upton blue ink

And that is pretty much it for the good pulls. I had a good little three year run but for as many packs as I bust, I don't do that well. Hopefully I can pull a Mays autograph of some kind and save myself from having to buy one.

Here are some odds. If you are at target you are going to be looking for big cardboard boxes that say something on the side about save for excell representative. Rip into
those and you should find heritage (and hopps basketball). Should be 48 or so loose packs, 8 blisters and 4 blasters...enough to get you started.

ok here are the odds. Odds in (x) are for blisters packs which are 16 cards for 5.29

    SP 1:3 (1:2)
    Red Boarder 1:8 (1:4)
    NAP 1:15 (1:8)
    TN 1:15 (1:8)
    Flashbacks 1:12 (1:6)
    Stick ons 1:8 (1:4)
    Chrome 1:22 (yikes) (1:12)
    refractors 1:77 (1:42)
    black chrome 1:690 (1:389)
    clubhouse relic 1:57 (1:29)
    Dual relic 1:9280 (1:5000)
    flahsback stadium relic 1:1459 (1:820)
    real one auto 1:562 (1:282)
real one red auto 1:1460 (1:728)
    flashback auto 1:23,480 (1:12,825)
    CC Auto Relic 1:12000 (1:5400)
    Flashback Stadium Relic AU 1: 23,480 (1:12,825)
    1963 Cut Auto 1:194,000

Autograph odds for retail back in 2001 were 1:152 packs.

Thank you Walt! I appreciate the info. If only we could go back to 2001 when the autos were more plentiful with a better selection. image

I see a black chrome refractor on the bay -- those look different from previous years as the border doesn't go all the way around the card. This may be how it was last year too - I don't remember.

Decent Chrome list so far -- sure hope there is a Yaz blue auto! I just placed a bid on the 2012 Topps Heritage Willie Mays Auto for the heck of it. Won't take me long to get outbid. That card should set someone back several hundred dollars!

ok, great Geordie is here. Some more info

Confirmed black and white variation. I saw a pic of a Halladay, the main picture on the front was black and white. The photo in the circle was now the main pic and
the main pic was in the circle. Could this be a SSP? I also saw a coin card in the back of the picture, so somebody somewhere is opening hobby as we speak.

Also Brent and Becca has a contact at topps who is actually talking, unlike my guy who is ignoring me. He said their might also be floating head variations where
the RC cards (single player) cards have a floating head in the circle. Hmm

Checklist and were the original 63 Leaders like this?
    image

Shields was 3rd in K's, Young 3rd in Avg, and Halladay 3rd in Wins. The different colored diamond indicates they were first to me, the backs list them correctly.

Yeah they're wrong. Mays was first in NL Homers in 1962, Aaron 2nd. The player in the center should be first in the category not 3rd.

Last one I promise... well or until I bust my hobby boxes image This is why I collect, I love this team and I also love pulling that first Ranger. In 1989 it was Ed Vandeberg and I keep the card in my wallet. In 2012 Topps it was Colby Lewis. In this year's Heritage it was Dutch, followed closely by Elvis. I'll be looking for any and Ranger chrome cards. And if Colby Lewis has a chrome card I'll be looking for the refractor, black bordered etc of that one. Also card #147 can burn in hell.

Matthew, thanks for posting pics. Personally, I like the stickers & have the Yaz peel off from 1963. Also the NAP & BB flashbacks look better to me than the last few years-maybe there's hope for this year.

Walt I do check the codes on back when I suspect something is different about a card but I don't go through every one.

Maybe I'll have to check my local Walmart this PM although they never seem to get early Heritage. Then again there is a super Walmart & a Target 45 miles away. I'm thinking Road Trip !
