Yes, I have no idea how the Beliveau rookie isn't a 9. The corners are sharp. The centering is within PSA 9 limits. The focus is a little off but so are most. I'm happy, regardless.
With the exception of Gordie's '54 Topps card, his '63 Parkie is probably the most beautiful hockey card ever produced. (Just don't know why yours "only" received an 8.5.)
I am thinking about have a few of my card reviewed but am in no hurry. I really think that the Harvey and the Lindsay could bump. Maybe even the Perreault.

Your Delvecchio is also a gem.
I am in 100% agreement regarding Gordie's greatest cards. Here's my 54 Topps example:
That is one beautiful collection you must have. Great cards!

Topps really does get a bad rap when it comes to hockey cards

What a beautiful Howe. Can I have it? It is my Icon.
Seriously, that Howe 1954 Topps card is my favorite card of all-time.

1 of 2 with none higher. Very tough.
1 of 2 with one higher. Has a light scratch on the front or would have been a nine. This one's reverse is better then the nine.

Obviously someone thinks that card will cross to a PSA 6 or 6.5
That was a lot of $$$

Only if I find a better one!
And it does look better than a PSA 5 BUT, has a wrinkle on the back.
Thanks and hope you had a great holiday!

I remember collecting the Topps version of that Ray Bourque as a kid and having to rub off the black to reveal his name.
