Not I. You can own a 1925 dollar in MS-65 for less than $300.
I'd be looking for some Charlotte and Dahlonega gold.
Admittedly this cost a little more than $50K, but it's an MS-63 and tied for the finest graded in a PCGS holder. Here you combine rarity and condition plus it's from the first year the Dahlonega mint opened.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Agree with the majority, pretty coin but way over valued. A nice 67 can be had for less then $5k. Think about that a nice 67 which their are over 150 graded at that level. What happens if one gets a bump or even a +. You now hold a huge dud when it comes to resell.
If I say something in the woods, and my wife isn't around. Am I still wrong?
<< <i>Didnt jack lee dip that 93-s morgan dollar? >>
Jack liked white coins but he did not dip that 1893-S Morgan. It was sent to NCS well after Jack sold it.
The Jack Lee pedigree may not have meant a lot in the copper community but with silver dollars it is one of the most coveted pedigrees.

If you don't know Jack Lee you don't know silver dollars.

It is definitely a specialist's coin, but I can certainly apprreciate such a perfect specimen. Admittedly, I, too, would collect other things, or pay off debts like both car notes. Still, this is not a coin for most of us, but for the most elite here and elsewhere, the ones who can afford coins at that level. This is a coin that belongs with the next Jack Lee. And, it is a perfect demonstration of how Peace dollars are so different in high grades than in lower.
Improperly Cleaned, Our passion for numismatics is Genuine! Now featuring correct spelling.
Over the entire Peace series PCGS has only graded 2 at 68, none higher. A very lovely coin but I'd have to be fat-cat rich before spending 30k on a single coin.
I dont like white coins normally but what's not to like about that? It stands out from all the peace dollars one normally sees offered for sale.
Now if one of the two 68s gets a +, does the pop 1 status make it a $60 K coin and the other a 40K coin? Isnt it great when you can create wealth out of thin air, got to love the game.
If it was a viable item that you could flip and make a dollar I'd consider fronting the money. But not for an ms-68 peace dollar ( insert thumbs down icon ) ( speaking of which, does anyone have a matching thumbs down icon? One that matches the thumbs up icon we have here? ) Never mind, I found one.....

Nice pedigree to boot
Is it just holder haze ~or~ a strike through at the D and S in "United States" at the top of the reverse

I still love that Peace Dollar....but for 30-50+K I would spend my money elsewhere also.

But in this instance, I think it is very cool!

Beyond registry points this date is so common and generally comes incredibly nice even at the MS66 level.
For that kind of money I would get a real nice group of Mercs....16-D, 21, 21-D, and a 25-S. Probably would even be some left for a 27-S!
"Seu cabra da peste,
"Sou Mangueira......."
Must be a beautiful coin that had a wonderful life of perfect preservation
Id put my money on absolute rarity over condition rarity now though.
Still, there would be something about owning the nicest coin of an entire series.
What's the pop on 68 Peace dollars?
Does a 9 exist?
