Hi Walt, Well, I've opened now a total of nine blasters and one rack pack so I guess getting an auto was pretty good....no tint cards yet and it would seem I should have lucked out with at least one.....al.
hey how small of printing error do i need to call it out,,, i have 2 #388 and one has red in the 3 one doesnt,, not that big of deal in my book but just throwing it out there, very small print error,,j
<< <i>Helton SSP, or just a blue tint? What say you guys? Got the Helton in the mail a couple of days ago.
>>
That is the only Helton I have seen like that. Everything else has been portrait. Grats!
My two hobby boxes didnt yeild much but did fill some holes.
Box1
Chrome- 2 CR - 1 BF-2 TN-2 NF-1 JRS-1 Hit: Dan Uggla wood. Topper: Manny $10, first one I pulled what a piece of junk.
Box 2 Chrome-2 BF-2 NAP-2 NF-2 TN-1 Hit: Ike Davis Jersey Boxtopper: Yankees stamps Buy back #121 Billy Hitchock (spelling it wrong because it wont let me post hitchrooster or male body part)
Note that the Billy Hitchock (spelling it wrong because it wont let me post hitchrooster or male body part) has the logo on his cap painted out. All the originals look the same. Just wonder if there is a 121 in heritage with the the same thing going on.
until someone finds different, I'm convinced any Helton batting pose is simply the intended tint variation, just like Lee Walls in the original '62. Walls had a base portrait and a green tint batting variation. I don't see a scenario that gives Topps any latitude to change it up
having said that, since when did Topps need any latitude
Anyone want these ? Walmart shopping today, failed and got a blaster, anyone want them ? Maybe there is one of those variations here. Else, trash like the rest.
The first picture has the cards with the smaller numbers, whatever that means.
<< <i>Anyone want these ? Walmart shopping today, failed and got a blaster, anyone want them ? Maybe there is one of those variations here. Else, trash like the rest. >>
Dont trash them. Looks like you have a red tint in there and some subset cards.
in what context, Kevin? Nothing comes up in current or completed auctions, although I'm sure you looked there as well. Nothing in the '62 set says anything out of the ordinary for card 188.
Won't trash. I'm not a Heritage collector, if you want the lot, all your's. Had seen this thread and, wammo at walmart, bought a box. The addiction. Just pm an address, po box, neighbors house whatever and will send the lot out.
It was funny, my wife said at walmart... 20 bucks ??? She just doesn't know the coolness of this stuff.

Been emailing back and forth with KO, he mentioned a Sanchez SSP.
The SSP's are where the real money is with heritage. They even outsell autographs for greats like Banks and Musial. If you ask me I'd rather have the ink.
I really love the idea of the SSP's kinda being hard to spot...makes it sort of an inside game for us real heritage collectors. If you want to know about the SSP's you have to know your history.....or you can use Geordie's cheat sheet.
We are here to serve less fortunate heritage collectors too!
Are the Jackie Robinson cards considered SSPs? Do they have the same sequence (135-144) as the Ruth cards? Also, has Topps confirmed any of the variations yet?
<< <i>Are the Jackie Robinson cards considered SSPs? Do they have the same sequence (135-144) as the Ruth cards? Also, has Topps confirmed any of the variations yet?
I'm just finishing up the checklist (will be done tonight I promise!) and I was just about to post the Teixeira. There are 2 base cards, #110 (batting stance) and #400 (swinging.) I don't believe either is an SP.

They are boxes you see at target and walmart that are a display case thd there is a place to grab them at the bottom. Hence they drop from the top to the bottom.
There are no red, blue, or green tints of Joba's card #159, which should have variations of all. There are red, green, and blue tints of Joba's card #139. The red, blue, and green tint #139 cards just replace card #159 in those sets. Does anyone agree with me?

2011 HERITAGE EXCEL SPREADSHEET 1.0 IS FINALLY UP!!!
www.freewebs.com/heritagetrade
You should see a link to download it in the first paragraph there. If you already have one, you can just copy and paste the 2011 tab into your existing spreadsheet.
Wanted to get this done earlier but I am glad it's finally done. This year's took me longer than any other year that I can remember, which means there is just a ton of depth this year in this set. The only think that I know of that I still lack are the boxtopper panels. I know griffins collects those but I'm not sure if anyone else does. I will try to add them in the next week or so. I also want to go back and update the differences between the tints - ie which blue tints are missing the Heritage logo, etc. I'm still not 100% sure I have the SSP's right, and something new may come up any day.
If you can think of anything I need to add, please let me know here or via PM. Now that the work is out of the way, I'm looking forward to racking out a trade or two this week!
Thanks again for all the kind words from everyone. This has been a great escape for me this week and I hope it helps you all enjoy your collections a little more.

super short penis

super short print, and SP means short print
funny thing is, when these original sets came out it meant single print,
because some years the high number series was only printed once.

From what I can tell:
The base card (no tint) has a red background
The Green tint has a yellow background.
The Blue tint has a purple background.
There SHOULD be a red tint variation of this card as well but what would it look like?
