My beloved Mets are looking for a new manager -- so I thought this would be a good time to post some Gary Carter related manager items -- In 2006 he managed the St. Lucie Mets (St. Lucie is in the Florida State League) and won the championship -- below is a scorecard, schedule poster and his graded card.
Gary won another championship in 2008 with the Orange County Flyers (the independent Golden Baseball League)-- below is a scorecard, program and his card.
I thought I'd make a small contribution to this fantastic thread.....It's an AP LaserPhoto from a March 1991 Spring Training game between the Orioles/Dodgers with a great action shot of Cal being tagged out by The Kid as he attempted to score........
Successful dealings with Wcsportscards94558, EagleEyeKid, SamsGirl214, Volver, DwayneDrain, Oaksey25, Griffins, Cardfan07, Etc.

To honor the start of basketball season and hopefully the Knicks do not stink as much as last year ~ here is an ad pulled from a magazine with Gary and Mark Jackson I don't have too many magazine ads alone ~ I would rather have the magazine intact but when this popped on ebay I had to grab it to remind me of better times.
Unreal how many items you have of THE KID. It's nice to see how someone can be such a big fan.
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I have posted the pumpkins before -- I had the pattern of the likeness of Gary made by Jay Ball of Pumpkin Glow.com and had it autographed in 2007 at HOF weekend -- the "autograph" pumpkin I made last year.
This is the first time I posted the letters -- I carved and sent another pumpkin to the Hall of Fame, you can see that they have accepted it to the Hall and put it on display in the Education Department. One Halloween I would love to get a pitcher of it on display.
In 2006, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mets winning the World Series, New York based Dunkin' Donuts put out these New York State quarters that have 6 different Mets photos printed on them - they also issued cards with the quarters. Here is the unopened Carter back and front and the other 5 Mets (Hernandez Dykstra, Wilson, Strawberry and Fernandez) they also had a holder for each of the loose quarters.
In 1991 6 kids books came out and Gary penned the Intorduction for each -- he also lent his name to the series. The books main focus is on one character and his climb to the pros. Below are the books and an example of one of the intros. --- I never read them but my son has and liked them.
