Really not fair to him putting him out there, but now the experiment is over. The bullpen is also a concern, the Giants are great at working a count and piling onto the pitch count.
After watching the Rangers and Giants pitchers getting knocked around the park, the defenses of both teams booting balls and throwing them away, and both teams looking quite bad, the Yankees and Phillies must really be kicking themselves tonight.

Yep, and take out the Giants 6 run inning and would would have won 7-5
Rangers need some Viagra. They are impotent. What a piss poor performance so far. Mental mistake by Young. Two more stranded runners. Poor, poor, poor.

Hopefully they don't have to wear their ruby red slippers though. I need them to win at least one in order to go to game 5 or I'm going to have a very disappointed little girl. It's ok if they don't win the Series, and ok if I don't win $2500.00, but if they can't even get to game 5 for Maven to go, then that WILL piss me off.
Maven is going to the World Series!!! Nice win tonight. My little girl is running all over the house yelling in joy 'cause she is going to game 5 with me. This is AWESOME. Thanks Rangers!
Another limp performance for the Rangers. I just got back from the game. I'm actually not too concerned about it. I don't see us losing tomorrow (although I've been wrong before), and then we have CJ and Colby for games 6 and 7. Yes, I realize they have Cain in game 6, but just like Lee is beatable, so is Cain. I do know one thing. Win or lose tomorrow night, I've got a great date for the game.
I'm going to spoil her rotten tomorrow night. I'll probably only get to actually watch 4 or so innings, we'll spend an inniing or two eating/standing in concession lines, a couple innings in the kids' sportspark area out behind centerfield, and a couple innings in gift shops and gift shop lines. I want her to have chances I didn't have when I was a little kid. The results of the game really won't matter too much to her tomorrow night, but having fun with dad will. However, for my own blood pressure's sake, I sure hope the Rangers win.
I'm fairly certain they'd get a refund for that. I'm not trying to trash talk here, but on local sports talk this morning in the SFBay area, they were talking about if the Giants win the WS, whether the fans would prefer they win Game 5 or win Game 6, which would be in San Francisco. The argument for Game 6 would be that they could win in front of the fans, and it might be good for the local economy with restaurants, bars. However, practically everybody who called in said, they'd prefer that the Giants just win Game 5 even if they had Game 6 tickets. Those with Game 6 tickets said they'd just use the refund money for season tickets next year or spend it on other stuff.
Here's to what was an exciting season full of many great highlights and performances. We just didn't have enough gas at the end. Hope you had a great time at the game regardless. Congrats to the Giants!
Oh well, in the words of Ron Washington, "That's the way baseball go."
Maven and I had one helluva fun night despite the loss. I'll post pics and stuff up tomorrow, but right now I'm tired and I've got a stomach ache (not from the results of the game, but from all the food) At the game, we had prime rib, hot dogs, bacon wrapped hot dogs, french fries, new potatoes, tacos, watermelon, honey dew, cantaloupe, pineapple, tortillas, something made out of chicken, and something made out of fish, nachos and cheesecake. We did the World Series in style

Vlad and Thenavarro, soory for coming up short. I really thought it was the Rangers year with the way that Lee was pitching and Hamilton was mashing. Hopefully, you guys can hold onto Lee and keep hima way from the Yanks.
Mike & Ranger fans, Sorry ur team couldn't get it done against that other team. What an Incredible season the Rangers had this year.. I would love to see your Rangers become the team to beat in the AL West for many years to come.
Man! When I heard the Rangers didn't pick up Vlads option I didn't know what was going on. I guess the contract Daniels signed him to was a 1 year deal and because the Rangers had financial issues last winter they made it a 2 year with the full intention of paying him the 1 mill buyout, it was a way to get him the money he wanted without having to pay on a one year deal, and Vlad agreed to this. They say they have the intention of signing him and with Guerrero's history regarding paychecks he'll probably sign for whatever they offer him... he's all about the comfort factor. And Texas seemed comfortable this year .300/29/115! Sign him up Texas, we have unfinished business!

(oh yeah, Rangers ain't dead yet )
I'm actually impressed that he managed to find the strike zone enough for 2 guys to connect for homers off of him.

One question though, if there wasn't a Game 5, would you have gotten your money back on the tickets, or do you just loose it?
