My brother with order #30828xxx (at 1230am on 1/22) got his email earlier this evening from the US Mint at 946pm Eastern time. I just opened his email which he sent earlier to me.
Using the tracking number, I confirmed on the USPS website that it should be shipping to his PO Box.

Appears FIFO, the fifo we expect, has been restored. glad to see it.

I can assure you that FIFO has NOT been restored. There have been numerous orders that went out tonight that were ordered later than yours. I have only counted about six people so far that still don't have their UHR, but I'm sure there are many more. I hope yours goes out tomorrow too! But as sure as you waz born, its goin out!

oh, there gonna get the coins out but they won't start implementing FIFO again until they start pulling orders off their system again. But the FIFO for these initial UHR orders is now irrelevant because they are making sure they get the first few batches shipped this week.

I'm thinking of sending mine to PCGS for a 'First Strike' flag holder, then see if NGC can put an 'Early Release' holder around the PCGS holder, then off to CAC for the all important little sticker showing my coin was correctly graded, then I'll see if I can get David Hall, John Albanese, SM1, and Edmund Moy to autograph it, then put it on Ebay for $15.1M and retire down to the Florida Keys.

I was excited to read about everyone who received that magical email last night that their UHR shipped. So I opened my email. There it was ...an email from the US MINT stating an order shipped. I opened the email and it was the Lincoln Commems. Normally excited about getting something I ordered turned to anger and (okay....I'll admit it) jealousy about those that did get that magical email. I too ordered the UHR that first hour...so maybe the magic will descend on me this evening. Fingers crossed, (toes, arms, etc.) :

It looks like orders are getting closer to mine. 30835xxx. I made a call to the Mint this morning and they had nothing more to tell me as usual. I again asked about why some very late orders were shipped long before other much earlier orders. She reminded me that when I bought the coin I agreed to wait for up to 9 months to receive it. I acknowledged this but reminded her that the Mint promised that orders would be filled on a FIFO basis. I further reminded her that her boss stated that there were 29,000 coins ready to fill early orders. I then reminded her that the Mint reported first day orders of slightly fewer than 29,000 coins. I then reminded her that the 6-9 month wait time referred to the fact that gold blanks might be limited and that because my coin had already been minted that this wait time was not applicable. Unless of course my coin was already sent off.
If you recall from my thread of yesterday my Lincolns are still shown in a Philadelphia PO where they have been for almost a week. I suspect they are lost or stolen by now. This is what happens when you sent out items with the lowest possible priority with a US Mint return address.
The last scans of the coin were amazing. It appears to be as beautiful as I had hoped it would be. With the addition of the world's most beautiful coin to my collection maybe it is a good time to stop collecting future commemoratives and to concentrate on past issues from reliable, efficient sources.
I don't expect my email tonight. They got through most orders from 30826 to 30830 it appears. So tonight should be through about 30835. If they don't run out of coins I estimate my 30844 around Thursday/Friday.
I'm still afraid they won't get to us mid to latter 3083xxxx folks because they will have blown through their stock giving them out to all the later orders. I think we could be in for an extended wait. I hope I'm proven wrong...

oh. yes it was. i'm almost certain. and i think within the same day he dropped it to 5K.

Sorry, but yes, I would agree that the UHR probably isn't affecting the price of gold.

Just received mine...
Beautiful box...disappointing coin..
On the eagle side there are pits on the rim above the word UNITED.
I noticed it immediately when looking at the coin with my 56 yr old eyes.
When you look at it under magnification, it looks like the moons surface.
IMO at best it would grade 66-67
