Anyone really think the Rays or the Red Sox could beat the Phillies the way the Phillies are playing right now - clutch hitting, clutch pitching, clutch fielding, clutch everything.

It might not be too early to have a Phillies make the World Series thread, but don't you think the Sox or the Rays have a slight, little shot at the Phillies? I don't see the winner of the ALCS showing up to the World Series and giving the series away
Come on Steve, relax and take a deep breathe and exhale nice and slow. I think this post season is wiping out your brain cells. lol

I agree. The Rays look youthful and tough while the Red Sox are the reigning champs. Either way, it's gonna be a great WS

Please see your local doctor to cure your premature ejaculation.
Sincerely,
Sure to disappoint
Go Phils!!!!
pitching will be tested, but I don't think their pitching can tame our line up. Man it feels good.

Sorry Steve.

<< <i>Rays in six.
Sorry Steve. >>
Rays will be tough, no doubt about it - Phillies won't have a walk in the park like they just did. Should be an excellent series.
<< <i>Sorry, there is no way we are going home with out finger jewelry this year. This team has hit its stride. Tampa has a nice lineup and our
pitching will be tested, but I don't think their pitching can tame our line up. Man it feels good.

If Hamels keeps his current form, although the Rays are playing excellent baseball, I would have to believe the Phils will be very tough to beat in this series.
<< <i>Oh, I'm sorry, Is it too early? >>
Perhaps. You sure are trying your best to jinx them.

I'm not a superstitious guy, and I don't believe in jinxes because my astrology charts and crystal ball told me so.

Phils will be ready pound. Does anyone have a place I can stay at for the parade...or at least a cardboard box and some chunky soup?
JS
Why even play the games then??????

I would think it's best to play the younger team with no post season experience that is prone to make mistakes based on the situation.
<< <i>So who would you guys rather play ? Or, it doesn't matter because you're going to pound either one of these pathetic AL teams >>
That's right, good to see you're learning - some American League team grape, is about to be run over by the Phillies two ton steamroller.
<< <i>I would think it's best to play the younger team with no post season experience that is prone to make mistakes based on the situation. >>
I agree with that, but just to dethrone the champs, and including playing at historic Fenway, I'd like to see the Phillies play the Red Sox.

Being that my home is two hours south of Tampa and hosts Spring Training for the Bosox I'll delight in either scenario.
We have a lot of Boston fans in my area, transplants and bandwagoners from Spring Training and the Rays dismal earlier years.
Having not been home for awhile I'll have to ask my wife about the current fan allegiance around town. I bet that no one has changed over to the Rays yet but if they win we'll see everyone in town sporting their gear.
FYI - for what it's worth the Bosox are currently holding our County hostage to get a newer facility. Sarasota County just north of us made a bid for them to move there. So of course the Bosox made demands in order to stay in Lee County. I say suck it Theo. Go ahead and move. We also have the Twins who make no trouble, and we can get another team if needed.
Don't worry, the Phillies will soon remind ya.

It's nice getting that first one under your belt. Kudos to Tampa Bay - it's obvious they are tenacious and have a lot of heart - they tried hard to fight back - No quit in them at all.
Long way to go in this series. Should be some more good games coming up.
