Oh i haven't given up on this game yet, but you can't keep piling up these LOB's and have it not come back to haunt you. But the bats will wake up - i ain't even the least bit worried about it - if not tonight then soon...it will happen.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
thats what im counting on steve, the great freezeout lol-are you in philly? in wv hills it frosted last night, florida cant take the cold wether, i do well to take the cold weather anymore
It's going to be in the 60's in Philadelphia the next couple of days.
I'm really pulling for Jamie Moyer. Not because of his age, but because he's a Pennsylvania kid, and it must be a great thrill to pitch in his hometown park. I'm also guessing the Rays young hitters will be too overconfident and Moyer will keep them off balanced for most of the time. I think people who think Moyer is going to get smoked are going to be suprised.

I don't understand how the cold is going to hurt the Rays anymore than it will the Phillies.
This isn't football, which is a fall/winter sport and fall/winter in Tampa vs. Philadelphia is a BIG difference. If this was football, the Bucs would have been training in the warm weather while the Eagles are training in cold, the Eagles would obviously have an advantage in the cold. Same thing goes for Tampa in the humidity. This was a legit topic of discussion during the time when the Eagles and Bucs routinely met up late in the season.
However, baseball is a summer sport. Both teams have played in parks during the warmest months of the year. It has just now started getting cool in Philadelphia, so the Phillies aren't exactly used to it yet either. More used to it than the Rays? Yeah, probably, but nothing like you guys are making it out to be.
If your logic is that guys that typically live in warm weather states will play poorly during this series, the majority of both teams will play poorly due to the fact that a majority come from FL, CA, TX, or Latin America.
It also certaintly holds no credibility due to the fact that the Rays just went up to Boston, where the game time temp was in the 50's and 60's for every game, and still won 2 out of 3.
The only home field advantage that the Phils will have, IMO, is just like any other homefield advantage, comfort and crowd.....not weather.
Hi Randy, I'm watching the game, I'm on my desktop computer typing right now and I'm on-line via network cable and trying to get her new wireless card to work with no luck.

I won't complain about splitting in Tampa Bay - We'll come back home, win at least 2 outa 3, and basically wrap this thing up.
<< <i>Ahh, just looks like "one of those games" tonight - everything going the Rays way, and they're earning it...doing a nice job manufacturing runs.
