Number 240 for Moyer and 10 for the season. Amazing. If he could somehow get to 15 wins for the season, that would be awesome.

Would love to see Santana matched up against that aging vet. We'd win 9 out of 10 times, LOL!!

To think, for the price of one Santana, the Mets could of bought 4 Moyer's!

lol why does he bring up salary all the time? He sounds as brilliant as axtel did.

The Pets and other teams started it - the Phillies had to respond. Did you think the thievery from your team was going to go unchallenged forever? Of course the Pets are finding out that the "best" players don't always win championships - it's getting the "right" players that wins championships.

Five wins in a row for the Phillies and pulling away again in 1st place. Now that's more like it!

After the Phillies clinch the NL pennant, then the AL WS team will learn to fear the powerful bats of the Phillies.

Pets will maybe learn someday that signing mercenary free agents doesn't win championships.

Phils v Angels....that will be a good series....Phils in 7, Howard hits a moon shot in the 9th and Lidge strikes out the heart of the order to win it.

Phillies have always had a "following" around the US. Probably because they have had a number of interesting players over the years - tough, "blue collar" type guys who enjoy playing the game and want to win a championship. Most of the Pets players couldn't care less about winning a championship - they are an elitist bunch who only care about their investment portfolios and making sure their real estate properties are in good order. Probably most Pets fans live within a five mile radius of their stadium, with the rest of NY and the country couldn't care less about these overpaid, underperforming gang of mercenaries.

Since when were "facts" needed for smack talk? LOL

You smack out of your arse as much as anyone here...the facts are your Mets suck and you're stuck rooting for a gang of mercenary losers...well too bad. Ha! Ha!

I notice a different temperament from Mets fans if their team is in first place compared to when their team is in second place or worse. If they're in first place, then they're chirpin' like canaries...when they're in second place or worse, they're hurlting insults and probably throwing bottles of Rheingold beer at their TV set as they watch their Mets lose another game. I imagine Grote15 has replaced the screen on his TV set a number of times this season. LOL

That's pretty funny coming from a guy who throws darts on a map to decide what teams to root for, LOL. At least your fellow Sillies fan SteveK also roots for his hometown Eagles. Must be fun following your "teams' on ESPN.com. But I don't expect much from a convicted welcher, it's par for the course, LOL!!

that's nice to see, Mets and Marlins lost much earlier in the day, and the Phils knowing that still gutted out a victory. HUGE escapes with a bases loaded double play in the 8th and then Lidge bearing down and sealing it after trouble in the 9th.... GREAT WIN

Mets win again and the Phillies have their ace the 9 and 8 Coles on the mound.

Did Santana get the win today? Yes he did, a CC shutout to boot.

Guy could be 17 and 7 if the BP held some of his leads.

    How is Cole doing?

4th game in the last two weeks blown in the 8th or 9th by the set up crew. So glad the Phils went out and got some bullpen help. Another
gem pitched by Moyer that gets erased.
