OK folks, here it is, my live play by play 6 box photo break. Let me know how you think I'm doing. I decided to sell half of my ridiculously cheap hobby case to secure some lost funds. I have my fingers crossed that the rip is in my half!

    That tension was short lived!

    Box 1:
    1 Team Orange
    BB Icon Honus Wagner
    2 black borders
    plus
    image

Probably have to rip this one. Can't get worse than Matt Cain, right?

    Box 2:
    Ancient Icon Hercules
    BB Icon Mel Ott
    3 black borders
    plus
    image

Hooray for quantity over quality, right?

    Box 3:
    Shark Oceanic Whitetip
    3 black borders
    plus my first silk!
    image

    This is fun, isn't it?

more to come. I like the vibe coming off this next one...

I'm just guessing here but I think the pink ones are non-baseball and the red are baseball rookies.

You got me. You rat buzzards got me. You've all suckered me into this set.

The dealer near my office had boxes marked $83 ($75) was his presell price. He knows I always pay with cash, so he gave them to me for $79. I bought three boxes. The first was by far the best. It had 5 game-used cards and a Mark Spitz auto. The other two were nearly identical with base cards, and they had two game-used cards each. I will post a list or a scan soon.

    1 world icon - samurai
1 no number mini - Vlad

    Brian Roberts bat

    ouch

    1 more to go

Well it ended up being one of the better ones I guess
    I finished the main set,
    some SP ink:

    image

    12 reg mini (2 SPs)
    5 AG mini
    3 black mini
    2 world leader
1 world icon - Isis (shazam!!)
1 basebal icon - Honus Wagner
1 crack the code - Team Orange
Varitek red jersey to go with the bat from the last box
    Travis hafner jersey
    Mike Hampton jersey

and kinda strange, the card I needed to complete the set, Michael Bourn, was the same player I needed last year to complete the set.

now it's time to tear open the rip card.....

Add me as another one who got pulled into this A&G stuff. I bought two boxes and the highlights are as follows:

    Auto - Kerri Strug
    Silk - Jeff Clement
Relics - Jim Thome, Matt Kemp
    Four black borders
    Ten A&G backs
    Mako Shark
    One Pioneers of Aviation
    Two World Leaders
David & Goliath Worlds greatest victories
Vlad Guerrero & Ryan Zimmerman N43's

I may just have to buy more!

without it being an auto, wood or sketch card, I pulled the card I would have wanted the most.

Got it in last years too with my first rip card image I'm happy (even though he got spanked around a bit tonight

Tell me what you guys think about this idea. After some time has passed to give others a chance to bust some boxes, how about we have some Allen and Ginter Awards? Like you know best relic pulled, best auto pulled, etc. We can all vote for the top one's and then that person would receive the honor of placing a picture of their trophy in their sig line. Sound good? Just an idea. Sound stupid?

Here is all of the cool stuff I pulled from Box #1. I will trade any of this for Pirates.

My case just shipped (I'm pretty upset with my supplier) so I should be in the mix later this week.

I like the idea of awards, kind of fun, plus I work for a trophy company (we make the Heisman Trophy, NCAA Championship Trophies, Most bowl games, etc) so I'm pretty much always down for some recognition.

Also, if that Spitz auto is for trade, I'd be very interested.

    Hey guys,

I'm in great need of one card to finish my set. Jack Cust, #339. I opened 9 hobby boxes this year and pulled zero Jack Cust cards. LMK, I'd love to finish this off ASAP! I have a Team Orange Wheelbarrow I'd give for it. OR any other base cards of your choice that I happen to have. PLEASE let me know. I really appreciate it. Thanks

I've been away for the night, I missed some fine rips. Congrats gentlemen.

Well, I've gone through 5 hobby boxes, and unless I break down and purchase a case with the Microsoft program, I'm probably done with hobby.

The highlights of my five boxes:
    image

    image

Came away with 1 shark, 3 baseball icons, 2 ancient icons, 1 aviation, & 10 world leaders.

I didn't pull a single NNO, Bazooka, silk, wood, Team Orange, or printing plate.

I hope retail is nice to me!
