Hi -- how ya doin image

I am - again. I'm actually going to attempt it all except relics, autos and bazookas. Last year I fell way to short on the autos and the relics were insane in terms of price for the few I didn't get.

Still on "vacation" with the kids at the beach and the 2 shops only had 1 box each at $130 a box! I get home on Monday and can get more and better prices.

I already cracked it with my decoder ring its: Drink More Ovaltine!

When the code thing is all done and over someone better sit me down and expalin this to me. I just figured the code cards were all that was needed but now people are saying the team oranges are involved.

And what the hell is up with the funny looking "N" on the card? Is that like a compas N or something? It really drove me bonkers the other night.

What I had last year in large hits, I'm making up for in numbers I guess. Box number 3:
    image
    Plus -
    13 regular minis
6 AG back minis (including Frank Thomas)
    2 Black minis
    1 Shark (Tiger)
2 World Leaders (Vietnam & UK)
    1 Victories (American Rev.)

Also pulled the 500 HR Club box topper w/ Big Frank

No great hits, but 4 with an auto! That's 3 boxes and 3 autos...I can't complain.

BunchOBull: Man, talk about mixed feelings. On the one hand, three relics and an auto in your birthday box. On the other hand, one of those is Richie Sexson.

As a Mariners fan, if I pulled a Sexson relic on my birthday, I'd probably cry... heavily.

Also, happy birthday! Leos rule! (Mine is coming up on the 16th, think I might try to get a blaster case)

Was just about to bring it back up for my next box Guru image

    Box 5 (7 overall)

    12 regular mini (2 SPs)
    4 AG back mini
    3 black mini
    2 world leader mini
1 world icon mini - Hercules
    1 baseball icon - Gehrig
    1 bazooka back - Les Miles #05/25
1 crack the code - Don Larson
JD Drew bat - must be one of the ones he couldn't hit anything with last year
    Lance Berkman jersey (w/ stripe)

I would like to try knock out as many SPs as possible to start because I'm sure I'm going to bust more of this products once blasters are available so the base cards are lowere priority. you should throw that on ebay as a blank front card. You might be surprised that some Arod collector will pay the big bucks for that. Specially since there doesn't seem to be any others

maybe even write a big 1 of 1 on the front image

I was thinking of a BIN of $1000image

I was looking at it closer, and it looks like the state flag cards are actually two pieces of cardboard put together. My "Blank Front" arod is about half as thick, so maybe somewhere, someone will pull the front.
Or maybe it's one of those infamous Topps unintentional "intentional" errors. It seems kinda' fishy to me because It's A-ROD and not Casey Blake, or some other regional star.

Jeff, what do you want for the Manny? I assume zep has already IM'ed you?

Guys I'm in a quandry as to how many subsets /paralells I'm going to collect. Both AG back & black borders will have 350 cards , correct? I was gonna collect both but it may be tougher than I thought . I have retail & blaster case coming still and got roughly the stated # of each type from my hobby case. Will the insertion rate be the same in retail?

On a related note Bill & Ross, have you paid LOckwood in full or just made a deposit?
