Is it too early to figure out print runs? Based on the plate odds, the cloth odds and the wood odds, there appear to be 1,345,400 hobby packs. About the
same number of retail packs....giving us 11 cuts in the hobby and 9 in retail.

With those numbers the group A autos are around 135 each. Not that many.

Are the cloth, wood and plates hobby only?

Some nice looking cards & some great pulls guys. I got my tracking # today from Larry Roselli, says it shipped yesterday. I can't wait to start rippage.

What's the general consensus on the rip cards? Rip or no?

Shoot me a PM to let me know and I'll put it aside if you want it.

    - [Open mini-rant] Topps seems to be really, really stretching the definition of "World's Champions" for the non baseball cards. I think I've pulled two different rugby players (neither of whom seem to have won any World Championship), an air guitarist (huh?), the hotdog guy (which was cool the first time around), someone who scored a perfect score in Pacman, a fisherman, an arm-wrestler, a sled-dog guy, and I'm sure there are more. Mark Spitz, absolutely a World Champion - great idea. Monet, Hickok, Tchaikovsky, Dickens, and Franklin - sure, neat cards of famous people. A skateboarder? That may be taking it too far. [Close mini-rant]

    ... >>

Why is being a skateboarding champion any less deserving than a fisherman or a eating champion? Not sure why you would include him as "taking it too far". Maybe some older guys or people that don't follow skateboarding don't know about him, but Stevie Williams is idolized by millions of kids, the best at what he does, and the founder and owner of a skate clothing line that is partnered with Reebok. He's accomplished a lot more than some stupid air guitarist.

anyone see the Wright case topper autos? They look like advertisement but are autoed by Wright....I wonder how many of them will be
thrown away, after all they are folded up like the box toppers they had in every box back in 2006!

I just finished my first case, I'll summarize shortly but 2 cloths, and 2 rip cards - no fu**dome, were the highlights.

Kevin, looks like team orange is another unannounced mini subset of 10 cards. Haven't seen "BO".

Cloth, wood, and printing plates are hobby only.

By the way, I am convinced that the SP is the card right before the state insert. Well actually the mini is on top of the state insert, so its the card on top of the mini - usually about the 4th card in. and i think most of the high #s are the sp's, like last year.

I've got my F*kudome on ebay right now. I have to be honest, buying this box today was a splurge (hope that's spelled right). I can't really trade, gotta sell. Sorry. For some reason I feel really guilty for listing that and the fact that I'm going to be selling most from the box. Don't know why I'm ranting.
  • Options
Ya when I get my box I will need some help with the values of the cards

You might of done better than that now, in a month of so that might turn out to be a fair value...there is one thing I have learned with A&G...many people will
pay whatever they need to to get the card they want. I also let a few of my rarer cards ride with high BIN's just to see if I can get a bite. The group A autos
which in the last have compared to the group C autos, are a bit rarer than we are used to.

So if I've counted right, out of a total of 58 autos, 41 are Group A, 9 are Group B and 8 are Group C. Wow, that's a lot of SPed autos. That explains the high percentage of Group As that have been pulled by board members.
